Warnings- Ummm, nope. None really! ^_^
The only time this story might even get close to lemony I'm having my friend Ashley write it, I blush when I even write about a stuu~uupid kiss fur gosh sakes! An if yer like me I'll save yah a massive brain malfunction and post an extremely LARGE warning on the section! M-kay? M-kay!
All four girls entered the club with the kind of high held jauntiness that caused people of all shapes to give them their full attention, but the male glances were quickly ripped away as the realization of the four good looking suitors came into play.
Two minutes later the octuplet were shoved into a private corner booth and already had drinks in their hands.
"Ni~ice service!" Duo gave a cheeky grin and nodded around approvingly at the jumping club.
Ashley nudged Brandi who was seated next to her, "Eh, they recognize the talent!"
Brandi turned an interesting tint of crimson and sank down into her seat slightly, Trowa side glanced at her noting that another would react the same way to such a compliment. But Quatre wasn't here now, he wouldn't be ever again.....
"Trowa?" Tara waved her hand in front of his face, he blinked out of his thoughts and tried to register what had just been asked of him. He saw everyone but himself, Wufei, and Tara were heading towards the crowd of dancers. Brandi turned and almost pleaded his following with her facial expression, then turned away as Ashley tugged her arm.
"Yes?" Trowa asked of the questioning red head.
Tara rolled her eyes playfully, "Are you coming?"
"Later perhaps."
She giggled and pranced away to where Duo was waiting with open arms, "Your loss! See yah!"
Heero was undoubtedly unnerved by the way Ashley and the other girls were moving with their bodies. Each with grace the mother of all cats would loath over they swished their curves and swiveled, even the blonde that Heero had taken for 'innocent' was practically smothering Felicia as the two danced together. His eyes grew wide as Ashley prowled up to him beckoning with her index finger.
"Come on cutie, dance with me!" She batted her eyes and her curls bounced invitingly.
"I...I don't..." But his escape efforts proved futile as she grabbed his shirt collar and positioned him so that they were facing each other at roughly the same height. Before Heero could even ponder over an excuse he found his hands being led in hers around the surface of Ashley's curves and thighs.
Duo was also being 'introduced' to the slightly pornoish dance moves by Tara who seemed in her element.
Wufei's eyes grew wide from the table and he scoffed loudly, "Look at them degrading themselves! Intolerable."
Trowa lazily trailed a finger over the rim of his drink, not necessarily agreeing but not disapproving either. His eyelids fluttered open and seemed to land immediately on Brandi in the crowd, a tall good looking young man was drifting to her back as she and Felicia danced face to face. His arms snaked out as he reached her backside and encircled Brandi's small waist, her head turned at the encounter and she gave a smirk. Tara noticed the hopeful man getting hip swivels out of Brandi and she called out over the crowd, "Brandi sandwich!"
Trowa was taken aback as he realized that was indeed the effect given as both Felicia and the intruder moved in closer to the smaller blonde, if at all humanly possible. The man leaned down close to Brandi's ear and whispered something, she gave an audible giggle and nodded.
Wufei gave another disgusted snort as Trowa fluidly rose from their booth and slithered through the dancers to untangle the handsome man from Brandi. Trowa's attempt was more than effective, the second he was in eyesight of Brandi her eyes turned from the other man adoringly to Trowa. Even Wufei gave a quick smirk as the man made a hurried retreat to more 'unmarked' females on the other side of the club's vastness.
Felicia raised her eyes to the unfriendly clock noting the time as one in the morning, she and the others were far past their dancing limits and were now content to lounge in the booth and chatter lightly. Wufei hadn't made the slightest interest in dancing, and Trowa had merely leaned against a support pillar near to Brandi and had watched rather than participated.
"So, have any family here or in the other colonies?" Tara asked of the boys after taking a long sip of her yellow colored drink.
"On earth we have relatives." Heero answered, they had already gone over every possible answer and had mentally made some sort of alter egos for their answers so as not to be discovered as 'spies' for J.
"Hmm, we've never been to earth. Is it nice there?"
Brandi leaned in with excited eyes as Duo vividly recalled the beauty of Earth, the others smiled at their exuberance to the subject.
The hour lulled on with now totally relaxed chatter, Trowa even consented to give his opinion on some matters. But he fell silent again when Brandi gave a wide yawn from her seat next to him, now that he gave his full attention he noticed that she had been sinking into a nearly comatose state due to the bottomless drinks and late hour.
Trowa leaned in close to her bobbing head, "You look exhausted, come on I'll escort you home."
Brandi's eyes looked up with the painfully evident look of a deep crush on the tall quiet bishoen, she gave a sheepish smile and nodded.
The two slid out of the booth side by side, six pairs of eyes looked up in question. "She's falling asleep, I'll see you back at our place." He explained shortly to the guys, they wisely slid away before the others could talk them into staying.
For Trowa's every step Brandi took two to keep pace as he lead her home, the air had efficiently chilled while they were enclosed in the club and Trowa glanced at the blonde to his left who was shivering with her arms wrapped around each other.
Trowa's own clothing was less than standard for the coldness, with a white muscle shirt showing off his incredible physic and straight legged stone washed jeans which were folded at the bottom to a James Dean look four inches above his brightly tanned mountain boots. True the pants had a matching jean jacket, but casually left it at their hide out. Duo had insisted on accesorizing the ensemble with a thick silver chain around his neck and a big silver watch at his wrist.
He sidestepped closer to her, attempting to bring some warmth with his nearness. She smiled and leaned in so that their shoulders were in contact.
Suddenly, not a hundred feet from the doorway to her apartment in the alley that Tara and Duo had met in, a huge black dog leapt out at them snarling ferociously and slobbering. Both of them jumped back slightly with surprise, Trowa's arm swept out and moved Brandi to stand behind him noting the way the dog's eyes darted around and quivered when the street lights hit it's pupils.
"Rabies." Trowa muttered.
Unexpectantly Brandi swept passed him to the mad looking animal, Trowa tensed unnecessarily as she moved fore ward with her arm outstretched in a friendly gesture. The dog growled louder as she crouched down about three feet from it, making soft noises from her throat.
"Shhhh, it's okay. Come on...." She ushered it, it hesitated only an instant before lumbering closer to Brandi. It reached her hand, sniffed it, then covered it in licks from it's tongue. Her other hand raised to scratch it behind it's floppy ear, it leaned it's head into her touch and sighed.
"She's been nursing recently." Brandi noted, Trowa nodded at the evidence of suckling her stomach gave. The female dog might have once been a big powerful animal, but was now reduced to a dying mongrel who's every bone could be counted through the ratty and unkempt fur. How she had given the resources to have even one puppy was beyond the both of them.
"We should go," Trowa hinted in a low voice, the last thing he wanted was the dog dying as they stood there.
She nodded, a sparkle of water fell to the street. "I'm sorry." Brandi whispered to the swaying figure on four legs, she kissed it's fore head and the animal nudged her as if it understood Trowa's concern.
Brandi was a shell of herself as she unlocked her front door, with a sad attempt at a smile she turned to Trowa. "Thank you Trowa, I'm glad Duo talked you into this."
"Good night," He muttered then turned to leave for his own welcoming bed.
Brandi dragged herself up the five stories to her space in the loft, the entire top story made up of her own bathroom, medium sized bedroom, walk in closet, kitchenette, and large living room.
As she slipped into her pale blue satin nightgown she was too distracted by the suffering being outside to notice the slight taps of footsteps on her catwalk.....
"Brandi!"
She shot out of bed instantly compared to her usual five minute wake up routine, the sound of Ivy calling her name in anger was enough to wake the dead.
As Brandi came leaping down the stairs to the main room Ivy held a tiny black ball of fluff up by it's neck and glared daggers at Brandi.
"Care to explain?" Ivy spat as she shoved the coal black fluff into Brandi's chest.
Brandi gave an excited gasp and held up the small black puppy under it's front legs, she giggled and twirled around with it in the air. The instant she lowered it to face level it began to smother her face with wet licks.
"A puppy!" Tara shoved her way to the attacking puppy and pet it's back gently. The other's followed suit with their own fits of affection for the new comer.
After thirty minutes of babyish coddling to the puppy it fell asleep contentedly in Brandi's arms, Ivy smiled at the silence. "Oh by the way...."
"It wasn't me Ivy, I swear!" Brandi pleaded her innocence.
Ivy turned to the table where a folded piece of paper lied with it, "I know you didn't, read the letter."
She made to hand it to Brandi, but it was snatched in mid air by Ashley who read it's contents aloud.
"Dear Brandi, I gave the mother a proper burial, here's her predecessor. Take care, Trowa."
Brandi gave a soft wondrous smile and cuddled the sleeping puppy painfully closer to her body.
Felicia needed 'unwinding', so she went to a familiar retreat dubbed the L4 colonist gym and fight arena. Hoping to find a mock battle contestant she waltzed out into the main practice area in slimming black Adidas shorts and a matching sports bra in place of her usual ensemble, her palms laced tightly with boxer's tape.
Across the room she watched a bronze skinned boy and a pale blonde battle fiercely in intensified karate. The bronze boy's coal black hair was in disarrange and hanging in strands around his cheekbones, both were covered in perspiration and breathing heavily.
The blonde's legs pushed off the ground neatly and he went vertical a good five feet in the air, avoiding the other boy's kick to what would've been his mid section. With a snarl of disapproval the Chinese boy dropped to the mat in a low spin as the Caucasian's feet hit ground, sweeping with dreamlike fluidness the crouched boy caught the other's ankles and left him sprawling.
The bronze skinned boy stood proudly with his arms at his sides, his bare chest heaving and sweat dripping down in small cascades. He raised a lead arm to sweep the raven hair from his face....
"Wufei?!" Felicia called, her suspicions were confirmed as the head turned to her. She trotted over to the panting male, the blonde passed out comfortably face first.
"Hello Felicia, I wasn't aware you came here."
Felicia smirked and threw the boy a crisp white towel, he caught it with a curt bow and began to pat his face dry with it. "I don't usually, punching bags aren't much for companionship." She stated, then offered her bottled water to Wufei who politely shook his head.
"True, but what problems do you have with a sparring partner?" He asked with a delicate raise of his black eyebrow.
Felicia cracked her knuckles, "I don't have 'problems' with them, I just can't find any one who can keep up with the set pace I provide."
Wufei gave the first real smile he had allowed himself in decades, then tossing the towel to the side and taking an imposing fight stance. "Shall we then?"
"Thought you'd never ask."
Heero had once again found the time to indulge himself in the comforting and compelling clicks of his laptop, this day and age had left him with more fingertip technology than he knew what to do with. But he was content for now with memorizing different Spectacle bases and weapons, preparing far beyond duty as was characteristic of the 'perfect soldier'.
A tiny red light blinked furiously on the little envelope on his toolbar, slightly interested in who would be sending him mail he double clicked on the light.
It was a message from none other than his own target, Ashley Tisdale. Of course that wasn't her true name, Heero and the others were well aware of the F.E.M.Z situation. They were indeed more perfect than himself as they obtained normal routines until the instant of action, then their individual systems kicked in and they fought on command unmercifully. Due to an inserted chip in the cerebrum and the added genetic soldier traits inherited from their mothers, each having J as a donor made them already prepped to take orders.
The message flashed during his pondering, his cold blue eyes swept over it quickly.
Hey Heero,
what's up kid? Was wonderin if ya wanted to hook up sometime and chill. Give me a hollar if 'yes' if not, don't bother eh?
Lates, Ashley.
Heero snorted disgustedly at the message's forwardness, and also due to the interest it dwelled on him. Though he would never admit it aloud, possibly not even to himself, all those times his excuse of 'plotting the grounds' was wasted as he again and again found himself watching her through windows. It had been barely two days since that night at the club, two long days since her soft kiss goodnight, two long days that every moment had dragged on like years.....
"Baka!" Heero scolded himself as the usual sounds of typing had seized at the mere thought of her. "Baka yaro."
"Have you named him?" Trowa asked softly as possible over the club's music, Brandi sat across from him fresh from her performance which, nearly causing a heart attack on her part, Trowa had come to watch.
She nodded happily, "We all named him Trunks!" Trowa raised an interested brown colored eyebrow.
"Don't ask me, it was Tara's idea." Brandi explained with a giggle and a wave of her hand.
Trowa nodded as if the explanation solved the mysteries of life, "How is Trunks then?"
"He's wonderful," Then she turned Trowa's insides to mush as she reached across the table and let her hand flutter over his own. "Thank you so much Trowa."
"It was nothing, really. He needed a home and you needed comforting."
She turned away and blushed, then looked back to him with the embarrassed smile Trowa had come to distinguish against her other flashes of pearly white teeth. "You could've done an excellent job without giving me Trunks you know."
If Trowa ever thought himself capable of blushing as she did so often, now would've been a perfect time.
Disclaimers- Hehe, if only that would really happen eh? Well, maybe not with Trowa for you'all because he's mine! But 'chu can have the others ^__^! Well peoples, besides my rantings and warnings is this thing okay? Decent? Horrible?! Dun be shy to tell me, I can take alot more criticism than yah'd give me credit for!
