Part 3
:: This part takes places a few years after Heero’s death. Email me on what you think. No flames please. Guess who’s POV it is this time. ::
Who’d ever think he would be the first of all of us to die. It’s actually really ironic, from all the crazy things he’s done you’d think he’d be the first but really and truly those ‘crazy stunts’ were almost like normal activities for him. His everyday things from the war were absurd to us but not for him. Look now, he lays in his grave cold and lifeless but none other than dead.
Birds chirping, flowers are blooming, a nice spring breeze, and the sun is bright. Yeah, smart! I come of all days to his grave on what seems to be a perfect day but today isn’t perfect, not without him. Nothing will ever be the same, nothing. What do they think about this?
‘I don’t know.’
That’s true. I don’t know.
‘What do you know?’
How I feel.
‘How do you feel about this?’
He was a great friend, one hell of a Gundam pilot, and he was part of my family. None of us really had a family after the war; all we had was each other. Trowa was a nameless solider always on the battlefield, Zechs was a prince of a grand kingdom who lost everything except his sister, Noin was an orphan and got enrolled in Lake Victoria Academy, and me, I was just another orphan like him.
We were each other’s family, brothers, sisters, cousins whatever you’d like to call it, he was like a brother to me, and we knew each other well. What would have been nice was to know about his past and mine. Maybe we were fraternal twins or something. Great! I’m daydreaming in a graveyard.
I’ll miss you. We’ll all miss you. I know you don’t like flowers but I’m putting these down anyways.
“Heero, buddy-old-pal, good-bye and I’ll miss you. Wait for all us will you?”
A lone figure in a gray trench coat walked away from the infamous assassin’s grave, his chestnut color braid barely touching the green grass beneath him.
Owari.
