"No! Please don’t! Anything but that!" Relena screamed in horror.
She could only watch as they took her baby away.
She had failed.
Failed to keep her beloved child from harm.
Her face was red from crying and screaming for help.
Her clothes were turning red from her husband's blood as she comforted Heero in her lap.
He had taken the shot for her.
Heero winced in pain both from his chest and his heart.
He knew he was helpless. He couldn't move, couldn't even speak, without triggering unbearable pain.
The years without training had made him soft.
And now he couldn't even save his only daughter.
The men had ignored Relena’s yelps and retreated out the windows they had broken.
"Miwa!!!" Relena had screamed, her lungs felt liked they were going to burst as her heart had already.
She stopped her yelling and sobbed on Heero’s head while they lay on the wood floor of the Peacecraft’s summer cottage.
Eventually Relena found the strength to call Duo and Zechs... hoping not all help was lost.
In a lab not to far away...
"Heero, how could you betray me! Going for that Peacecraft girl, marrying your own target!" screeched the scientist.
"You know...they all betrayed us. All five of them, J."
"Of course I know, G, but Heero?! After I found out he had married that girl, I knew he would drop the missions, the assignments, everything! So he could be with the enemy!" raged J in anger.
"Yes J," G had said sarcastically, "I knew how special your 'pet' was to you. At least my Duo... wait he didn’t do that, or...did he?...err..."
"Well, Heero doesn't matter now," Dr. J turned to a dark corner of the lab, "We now have his 2-year-old to replace him..."
Both doctors looked over to Miwa Yuy, crying her heart out, as the tears mixed with her father's blood on her face.
Yet, even as she bawled, her expression was not that of a normal crying 2-year-old.
"She will do just fine." said J through a happy face.
The child's face portrayed an unnaturally strong emotion;
the meaning of revenge shouldn't have penetrated the mind at her age.
But one look at her cold blue eyes could tell anyone differently.
They guarenteed revenge...
...all that was needed was time.
