Just A Hint of Jealousy

Act 1: Phone Call
*The chibis are outside in the backyard playing. Melody is about to call them inside for dinner when the phone rings. Melody picks it up and Richan is on the other line. She sounds quite upset.*
Richan: Hey Melody, would it be alright if my chibi Zero spent a couple nights at your house?
Melody: Why? What's the matter?
Richan: The older Zero has something contagious to cats and I don't want the chibi to get it. You're kids'll be safe even if chibi Zero ends up getting it because they don't have any cat in them.
Melody: Alright.
Richan: Thanks! I'll call you when the older Zero gets better, ok?
Act II: Day 1
*Richan and Chibi Zero show up at the door shortly after dinner is finished. Richan hands chibi Zero a little backpack and thanks Melody again for letting him stay with her.*
Richan: Thanks again! Oh, and if he starts any problems you be sure to call me and let me know. You can always use catnip or milk to get his attention too! But don't actually give him the catnip, it makes him hyper.
Melody looks down at the chibi and notices something that wasn't there when he first showed up at her house awhile back. He has orange cat ears instead of human ears.
Richan: *noticing Melody's stare* Oh! Aren't they adorable? They finally morphed! *tugs on one of Chibi Zero's ears* I hope that the chibis aren't disturbed...
Chibi Zero: Ow! Let go!
Richan: Alright. *picks chibi Zero up and gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.* Be a good boy, Zero!
Chibi Zero: mpf...
*Richan leaves. Zero stares up at Melody with his big blue chibi-like eyes*
Chibi Zero: Hi...
Melody: We just had dinner. Did you eat yet?
Chibi Zero: Uh huh...Can I play with the others?
Melody: Sure, go ahead. They're upstairs.
Chibi Zero goes upstairs and knocks on the door to the Nursery. The 5 youngest chibi boys are playing a game of war when they hear the knock.
Chibi Heero: Go 'way Relena! *Chibi Zero realizes that chibi Relena isn't playing in the room with the guys. After remembering what happened the last time he visited, he turns and heads for Relena's room. He knocks on her door.*
Chibi Relena: Go'way! *little sniffling sounds can be heard*
Chibi Zero: What's wrong Relena? They bein' mean again?
*Suddenly Chibi Relena's door swings open, smacking chibi Zero in the face and knocking him down. Relena is quickly by Zero's side trying to help him up.*
Chibi Relena: I'm sowwy Zero! I didn't know you were comin'! Are you ok?
Chibi Zero: Mpf...*rubs his nose* Yeh...
*Chibi Relena notices that Zero has cat ears and squeals*
Chibi Relena: They're soooo CUTE!
Chibi Zero: Wanna play with the guys?
Chibi Relena: They won't let me...
Chibi Zero: They're playin' war...time ta join up and battle 'gainst 'em for our right to play!
Chibi Relena: Yay! *runs back into her room and grabs her pillow* I'm ready! Chibi Zero: Me too! *pulls a bubble gun from his backpack and then sets his bag down by Relena's door* Let's go!
*The two chibis sneak over to the boys' room. Zero slowly opens the door, standing behind it. The chibi boys are so into their game that they don't even realize that their door is wide open. Chibi Zero stands beside Relena behind the door counting quietly.*
Chibi Zero: One...two...three...GO!
*Chibi Relena and Chibi Zero run screaming into the boys' room. Chibi Relena uses her pillow to bop Chibi Duo on the head as Chibi Zero shoots bubbles at chibi Heero.*
*Melody is wondering what is going on upstairs.*
*When the boys finially recover from the surprise they realize that Zero is there, and then they notice his cat ears. Everyone crowds around chibi Zero.*
Chibi Zero: What?
Chibi Heero: What 're those?
Chibi Zero: You mean my ears? These are normal!
Chibi Duo: Yeah, right! We don't got ears like that!
Chibi Zero: uh...oh...right...These are normal for me. heh...It's nothin' ta be sup-rised 'bout...
Act III: Day 2
*After breakfast the chibis run outside to play. Zero follows them outside, not knowing who he wants to play with. Chibi Relena is playing with a couple of her dolls in the sandbox and chibi Quatre is having a pretend tea party with chibi Trowa. Wufei and Heero were doing something competetive that chibi Zero really wasn't interested in. Chibi Duo is acting as if he was about to break in on and ruin Heero and Wufei's game. Zero runs over to Relena.*
Chibi Zero: Hey! Can I build a sancastle here?
Chibi Relena: Sure! Can I help?
Chibi Zero: Yeah! We can build it for your dollies!
Chibi Relena: Princess dolly!
*Chibi Zero takes a bucket and shovel and starts shoveling sand into the bucket. He packs it really tightly and then dumps it out. Relena trys to push the sand that fell down back up. When they finish it barely looks liveable.*
Chibi Wufei: *suddenly appearing behind chibi Zero* That's awful.
Chibi Heero: *beside chibi Wufei* Really awful.
Chibi Relena: You think so Heero?
Chibi Heero: Yes! *kicks the already dead sandcastle, finishing it off* That awful! There, now it looks better!
Chibi Zero: What's gotten into you?
*Chibi Relena is in tears as chibi Heero stomps away.*
Chibi Relena: Heero...why did you....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhahahahahaha!!!!! *Chibi Zero is trying to comfort Relena and Quatre and Trowa drop their teacups and rush over to help calm down the howling girl. Chibi Duo walks over to see what happened, because he was too busy plotting destruction to notice before.*
Chibi Quatre: Are you ok Relena?
Chibi Trowa: What's wrong?
Chibi Relena: Heero hurt my dollies!
Chibi Duo: I don't see any dolls...
*Chibi Relena digs through the sand and uncovers a couple dolls. Both of them are dirty and have a lot of sand in their hair.*
Chibi Zero: They just need to be cleaned. You can ask Melody to wash 'em for you...I know I ask Risan to wash mine all the time. Oh! *quickly slaps his hands over his mouth*
*Chibis Duo, Quatre and Trowa stare at chibi Zero with their mouths wide open.*
Chibi Duo: You have dollies?!
Chibi Zero: I meant ta say Richan's dollies! We play to'gether lots so I get confuzed....
Chibis Quatre: Wanna come to our tea party, Relena?
Chibi Relena: Uh huh...
Chibi Zero: *takes Relena's dolls from her* I'll ask Melody to wash 'em for ya!
*Chibi Zero runs inside and finds Melody in the kitchen cooking something.*
Chibi Zero: We just had brekfust...Whatcha still cookin' for?
Melody: I'm making lunch. It has to cook for a while and then be referigerated for a while longer.
Chibi Zero: Enyway, *holds up the dolls to Melody* Relena's dollies got dirty...can you clean 'em?
*Melody takes the dolls from Zero.*
Melody: Yes, tell Relena not to be so messy next time.
Chibi Zero: Relena didn't do that...Heero did.
*Melody goes to question Zero but he has already taken off for outside again.*
*Later when Melody calls the chibis in for lunch, Heero and Wufei were still playing a competitive game while eyeing Zero and Relena suspiciously. Relena, Quatre, Trowa, and Zero had gone from the tea party to playing with toy Gundam models. Zero is playing with a mobile doll model and Relena is playing with her brother's Tallgeese model, which he allowed her to play with. Zero still hadn't seen chibis Milliardo or Treize. Duo is still secretly plotting destruction as he walks into the kitchen.*
*Chibis Milliardo and Treize are already sitting at the table. Melody sets a large bowl of potato salad on the table and starts to spoon it out onto plates next to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.*
Chibi Zero: Can I ask the blessin'?
Melody: Why sure you can!*is absolutely delighted that he volunteered*
Chibi Zero: *bows his head and folds his hand together* Dear God. Please help the older Zero to get better an' thank you for this food and lettin' me visit my friends. An' please bless this food an' help us to all get 'long better. Amen...
*Chibi Relena looks sadly at Heero as she bites into her sandwich. Chibi Heero glares at Zero between spoonfuls of potato salad. Zero pokes at his salad wondering if it's edible, and for some reason lifts up the bread and looks under it.*
Melody: Something wrong, Zero?
Chibi Zero: No...just wonerin' what it'll taste like...I never had jelly before...
Chibi Treize: It would help you to know sooner if you experience it...
Chibi Zero: huh?
Chibi Milliardo: *translates* Just eat it.
Chibi Duo: So what kinda samwiches did you eat b'fore?
Chibi Zero: pickle salad, peanut butter an' cheddar cheese, an' tunafish. I also like ungin an' matoe an' lettuce.
Chibi Heero: I like pb an' grape jelly with cheese an' an ongion.
Chibi Zero: Ew...Risan had that an' said it's not bad but I don't wanna try it cause I never had jelly before and dunno how it is. *takes a bite of his sandwich* mmm....
Chibi Relena: Like it?
Chibi Zero: Yeah...
Act IV: Night 2
*The chibis are in the nursery, except the two oldest chibis and Relena because she is a girl. Zero is sitting on his sleeping bag on the floor next to Quatre's bed because Quatre is the chibi he has been getting along best with out of all the younger boys. He is looking at pictures in a book that was in his backpack. Chibi Quatre in his bunny pj's looks from his bed to Zero's book.*
Chibi Quatre: Can I see?
Chibi Zero: Sure. *holds up the book so Quatre can see better*
*The book has pictures of other people with cat ears in it. It's like a story book, but it has big words in a foreign language and none of the chibis can read it. Zero points to a cat person with long pink and blue hair and beautiful eyes and a fluffy tail.*
Chibi Zero: Risan says my mommie looked like this.
Chibi Quatre: She's pretty.
Chibi Duo: *jumping on his bed* I wanna see, I wanna see! *jumps down and runs over to see Zero's mom*
*Chibi Heero curiously walks over and looks at the picture. He becomes even more confused seeing that the mother looked more like a cat than a human and was pink and blue. Chibi Wufei is not at all interested in looking at a woman, and chibi Trowa is already looking at the pictures from behind Zero.*
*Finally Melody says it's time for lights out so the chibis go to sleep, all except Duo, who is ready to carry out one of his destructive plans he actually found time for.*
*Chibi Duo creeps over to where chibi Heero is and lays something down underneath his pillow. Chibi Zero is suddenly woken up by a light tug on his ear and smells something irresistable. He creeps over to Heero's bed and starts sniffing around the pillow. Suddenly he pushes Heero off the bed and yanks the pillow up, pulling out the catnip and running around with it.*
Chibi Heero: Grr...what happened?! Chibi Zero: Hahhahahahahaha! Catnip! Catnip! Mwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Suddenly the lights flip on and Melody is standing in the doorway. She can see chibis Trowa and Quatre with the covers pulled protectively over their heads, Wufei ignoring everything and pretending to sleep, and Heero looking like he was about ready to attack Zero. She could also see Zero running around with the catnip and Duo trying hard not to laugh.*
*Chibi Zero settles down as Melody snatches the catnip away.*
Melody: Who gave this to you, Zero?
Chibi Zero: Found it under Heero's pillow!
*Melody looks at Heero*
Chibi Heero: I didn't do nothin'! *glares at Duo*
Chibi Duo: *bursts out laughing*
Act V: Time to Go, Zero
*The next morning the phone rings and it's Richan saying that Zero's illness is no longer in it's contagious state. She is going to pick chibi Zero up in the afternoon.*
*When the time arrives Chibi Zero is waiting by the front door with his stuff. Chibi Relena is waiting with him. He already said goodbye to Quatre and Trowa, and Duo managed a "seeyalater" and "sorryboutlastnight". Chibi Heero had apologized to Relena, forced by Melody when Quatre told her everything about the sandcastle and dolls.*
*Chibi Zero tried to say goodbye to Heero, but he didn't say anything back, just waved a little.*
*When the doorbell rings Zero hugs Relena lightly and says goodbye to her and Melody and runs out the door.*
*Chibi Relena turns to Heero.*
Chibi Relena: Why are you so mean ta' Zero?
Chibi Heero: You wuldn't unnerstan...
*Chibi Relena detects a hint of jealousy in Heero's voice.*
Chibi Relena: I think I unnerstan a little bit...*grins*
Chibi Heero: Whacha mean? *notices the look in Relena's eyes* No you don't! You got the wrong idea! *puts his hands up defensively and backs away*
