"Hey, Zechs." My best friend greeted me warmly.
"Uh ... Hi, Noin. " I briefly glanced away.

"So, what did ya want to talk to me about?" She asked me with curiosity as we walked in the park next to the beautiful lake as usual.
" Uh ... well ..." I want to say it to her but it's so hard for some reason, probably because I've never done his to someone.

"Well ... I just wanted to say that ... I ..." Come on! I've really got to say it to her!
"Yes ... What's wrong Zechs?"

"I've been having trouble lately ... "Damn it, why can't I say it???
"Yeah ... in what?"

"No nothing. I've got to get back to headquarters and finish some work. I'll see you later?" I'm such an damn idiot! Why couldn't I just say it to her? I've been through so much with her. Why??
"Uh, ya. Sure thing, Zechs. I'll be home." She stared back at me puzzled.

[Zechs retreats from Noin's slender form.]

~Flashback~

[Cadet Noin walks by Cadet Marquise taking little notice except to pause and flash him a warm smile.]

[Cadet Noin walked away resuming her tasks when he didn't respond to her.]

[Cadet Zechs silently curses himself for not responding to the picturesque girl.]

Later that day Cadet Marquise bumps into Cadet Noin at the park.

"I'm sorry ... I never introduced myself. Umm, I'm Noin." Noin lent her hand out to shake.
"Nice to meet you, Noin." Zechs grabbed her hand firmly and shakes it but hesitates to respond to her. "I'm Zechs Marquise. Uhhh ... Where you headed?"
"Nowhere, really. I was ... just talking a walk." Noin stuttered a bit but continued to talk to the tall handsome man who she had smiled to earlier in the barracks.
"Uhh ... Do you mind if I ... joined you?"
"No not at all ... Zechs."

[That night...]
Lucrezia Noin ... my new friend ...

~End Flashback~

Later that day I spotted Noin over at the beach with Lady Une and Heero; them seem to be just leaving her.

A smile cracked his lips.

"Hey Noin!" I yelled out to get her attention. God ... she's beautiful outside on the beach.
"Oh, Hey Zechs!" She quickly ran over to me. "What brings you over here?"

I've got to do this. It's now or never ...

"Noin ..." I got down on my knees and pulled out that velvet box that's been in my pocket forever. "Will you marry me? "

She gasped and stared at the ring. I could tell she was speechless and I so wanted to here that three-lettered word come out of her mouth and only hers.

"Yes ... Yes I will." She kneeled down beside me and I kissed her with all the passion I could muster up.

I lifted her high in the air to match my excitement.

"We are gathered here today to join these to people in holy matrimony ..." This is the day, the day I've been wait for my whole life to spend with her.

"Do you Milliard Peacecraft take Lucrezia Noin to be your lawful wedded wife through sickness and health ... " How could I ever say no?

"I do."

"Do you Lucrezia Noin take Milliard Peacecraft take him as your lawful wedded husband ..."

"I do." She looked at me and smiled a Cheshire cat grin. I knew exactly what she was thinking right then and there. Me and her always had some sort of bond together.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife."

"You may now kiss the bride."

[A/N: Yes I know the part on the beach was supposed to be a date instead of a proposal but the last half fit better with the proposal and plus there IS such things as Writer's License' cuz I've got one. ^_~ I can alter anything I want!
I know I didn't follow the song's line's grouping I had to cut it up to make it fit a lot better.
