Traps cards are either your best friend or youe worst emeny. In my deck they're my friend - as I how some decent and very useful ones. Trap cards are designed basically to counter your opponents moves / attacks.
(Thus they are called "Traps") Not all traps are great - as they have costly drawbacks to them. The solemn Judgement card above required that you lose 1/2 of your total LP's to use it. (Considering that you start off with 8000LP that isn't that great of a card to use).
But others such as Mirror Force are great as they destroy all of your opponents monsters which are in attack mode.
Some Traps cards are so useful that you are rescricted to only having 1. Traps cards are just as important in your deck as Magic cards as they can help cause great damage to your opponents monsters or there're LP.
