OBJECT OF THE GAME:
The object of YU-GI-OH TRADING CARD GAME is to win a match against your opponent. (duh!)
CARDS:
There are 3 main types of cards:
Monster
Magic
Trap
Additionally each type is divided into different sub-categories. But for now, just read the rules in either the rule book or on the actually cards. (depending on whether they have additional stats)
IMPORTANT - When rules on the rule book or the cards conflict with one another - ALWAYS play with the rules on the card.
MONSTERS
The key card of the game. This cards are the basic cards used to attack your opponent.Monster cards are categorisedby type and attribute. The are 20 different types and 6 different attributes. These determine what the monsters ability to attack and defend are. The overall strength s determined by its power level. (Number of stars below the monster name). Monster cards are yellow / brownish coloured. Effect monsters are Orange.
