| Gun Runners never surrender no matter what the situation. Read this story to find out how serious we are. Ok me (lincoln) and Ty were at the May 24th and 25th Wildfire 24 hour senario game and we were inserting and the insertion point had changed for one reason or another and so me and Ty inserted in the wrong place. Then a referee came over and told us to go to a different location only he told Ty not me so i diddn thear the whole story and diddnt know that we had a freebee to get over there and could put in our barrel plugs to walk over there. So i was talking to Ty trying to figure out what is going on thinking he has out pathway covered so i wasent paying attention to where we were going and by the way he diddnt have his barrel plug in cause he lost it so that was another pointer to me since he diddnt have his barrel plug in. Then all of a sudden the fagget thinks he is all cool sniper in a gilley suit jumps out on us and says put your barrel plug in now or im going to shoot you so Ty knowing we had a freebee was talking sense telling him we were going to a different insertion point and the meanwhile i was figuring out how im gonna take him and his friend since my gun was up in the air and his was at my chest so there was a tree next to me so i figured that I would distract him somehow to slow his reflexes and sling down my gun and blast away at my fastest rate of fire with my angel while jumping behind the tree and expecting Ty to go along not knowing that Ty knew that we had a freebee and even if he did he decided to be funny and bring his broken in half pump hammer P so it was just me trying to take out 2 guys holding me at gun point so i figured i would just talkk nonsense and act confused to make him loosen up like im not gonna do anything and thats what i did and then i whipped my gun down and sure enough i got off the first about 7 shots before they realized that they had 3 shots each in their chests and had flown on the ground behind the tree shooting and all i remember about that part is he is still shooting at me so im not gonna stop shooting at him till he stops shooting at me and remembering him turning into a wite cloud cause i was shoting him so many times and then he runs directly above me totally histerical screaming and yelling and cursing and most of all he had gotten so mad that he turned on full automatic cronoed at more than 320 fps continuiously shooting and with Ty as my witness i was laughing cause the thought of him being as mad as he was was just making me laugh plus that is even more weird for me to be laughing cause i was getting shot at by to people at pointblank range and him all mad and stough then i finally was just like ok im gonna end this so i said hid and then he was still screaming and shot me 2 more times in the back as i was walking out and then i stopped laughing and started yelling at him i was like man i was laughing and your over there crying like a baby and i dont feel anything i dont know what your talking about cause he was saying that he tore me up and i diddnt feel any pain until i took my shirt off and saw my chest had bloody wounds all over it i had 9 and i know that he must have shot at me about 60 or more times and i know that i shot at him 100 or more times cause i emptyeed my hopper right on him and i could see it too but he diddnt feel it as bad cause my gun was cronoed at 276 with the limit of 300. UPDATE: Recently, the Guillie Suit guy has appologised, and it turns out he is not such a bad guy! BUT the story sounds cool so were going to leave it up anyways! |
| Lincoln and Ty operating at night. The following story is an account of what happened during the night of the 24-hour spring scenario game held at Wildfire Paintball in Madison GA 2002. Lincoln and I (Ty) were just beginning our night play, our original plan was to somehow flank the opposition and make it to red teams base sometime during the night. This plan was aborted due to the fact that the gray team during the night was severely outnumbered and also Lincoln and I were the only ones on the gray team that had night vision devises. Red team was operating with at least 5, and I think 2 of these were third generation NVDs (Night Vision Devises). Both of us figured that we would be most useful to our team to simply defend our own base from attack rather than go out and attack a force that we knew was better equipped and prepared than us. At about 11:30PM that night Lincoln and I asked our commander (Dan) if we should go into the woods south of our base and wait in ambush for some red team members to come along, this seemed like a great idea because the woods to the south of our base was one of the most common routes used to gain access to our base. Lincoln and I must have sat there for at least two hours completely silent not saying anything, just looking through our night scopes waiting, occasionally we would get a shot of adrenaline because some pinecone or what have you fell from a tree and it made some noise, but sure enough nothing came through the southern woods that night. It had been about two hours and we hadnt scene anything so I whispered over to Lincoln that I was going to eat my MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) because I was getting pretty hungry. I was just munching on my chocolate bar when I heard in the distance our bases generators went down (we were using gasoline powered power generators to power lights that were set out on the perimeter of our base). I thought this was kind of odd because nobody else on our team had NVDs and everyone in our base was using the power generators to our teams advantage. Now, before I move on let me tell you that Lincoln is very smart and is able to figure out a situation in an instant. I was probably about 20 yards away from Lincoln when I saw him say something to some guy that was approaching from the direction of our base, I was pretty sure this guy was on our team. Only about two minutes later there were people coming from the direction of the opposing teams base, I was pretty sure that these guys were reds. Lincoln began shooting at them while they were still about 50-75 meters away, I wondered why he was doing this because by shooting at them at that range would only give away our position, you cant really hit someone during the night at that range. After Lincoln sprayed fire a few times he jogged over to me and whispered hey man, the reds have our base I was almost sure I misunderstood him because I thought that it was impossible that that could have happened. Both of us made our way about another 50 meters in the opposite direction of the people approaching from reds base. We got ourselves hidden and then Lincoln told me about everything that had happened. Apparently while we were away from our base in the woods, some guys from the very respectable Team Moist Donut had come into our base and barrel tagged ALL of the grays out. Also the guy that Lincoln talked to was really a red, however Lincoln said something to make the guy also think we were reds, also this explains for the guys approaching from the reds base. They were actually gray team members reinserting and trying to get their base back, and the reason Lincoln was spraying at them inaccurately was to make the reds right above us think that we were also reds, we couldnt either go back to our own team because while approaching them we would have gotten shot both by reds and grays. The reason the generators were shut down was because our base had been taken over. Lincoln and I waited about 15 minutes and by that time all the grays accept for us had been eliminated again. They didnt bother to reinsert again and I think they all just went to bed, because of this most of the reds went to bed also, even the guys with NVDs. So it was just Lincoln and I against all the guys still in OUR base, and we were determined to get it back. We both walked VERY quietly east and then to the north to try to get behind our base. In total the journey was probably only about 150 meters, however it took us at least 45 minutes because we were walking so quietly. Once we were due west of the base, which was behind it, we cat crawled to the tree line. From the tree line, Lincoln and I used our Night Vision Devises to try to spot people in our base. Unfortunately we could only spot two people in the tower, we could not spot anyone else, even after sitting there for about 30 minutes looking for movement or simply trying to spot the figure of someone. We both decided to finally go ahead and pray that there was nobody else in the tree line that was going to snipe us. We decided to make a slow jog to the bunkers in line astern formation, we both jogged as quietly as possible to the bunkers undetected. We both sat at our bunkers for about another 5 minutes, then I cat crawled over to Lincoln, while we were discussing what to do next we heard someone whistle from the top of the hill adjacent to our base, this could have been good, and/or it could have been bad. This was good because now we knew the position of their sniper, however we were uncertain about the reason he just whistled, maybe he had scene us and was trying to alert everyone else in the base. Lincoln stayed right at his bunker and aimed himself west, I crawled over and took Lincolns left flank in the tree line and aimed myself east which was also the direction of the rest of the base. Since we were both Gun Runner operators we both had unlimited confidence in each others abilities, I felt ready for almost anything, I knew if anything came in front of me, than I would be bale to shoot it from my prone position, and I knew if anything tried to sneak up behind me, Lincoln would be able to shoot it for me. After about 5 minutes (which seemed like an hour) of waiting we heard the refs and the remaining reds say, we are the only guys out here, all the grays went to bed, so yall want to do some speedball? HA HA!, this meant that they had not detected us and had no clue that we were in the base with them! To play it safe we decided to stay in the same position for a little longer, and it wasnt but only about 5 minutes later that I heard talking and footsteps coming from right behind me, It was two reds! They were getting closer and closer and if they stayed on the same course they would probably step on me, I didnt turn my head to look at them, neither did I even start to think of turning around and shooting them yet. Soon they were no more than 10 feet from me and had no clue that I was where I was, this is when I heard a clicking noise from my left (this was Lincoln switching off his safety) then I heard the most reassuring noise I can think of which was Lincoln shooting his angel at about 10 BPS right into one of the guys, as soon as this occurred I spun around and shot the second guy several times (even though I think Lincoln may have already gotten him). At this time, the guys in the tower began shooting blindly into the dark where they had heard the shots come from. In case there were any more of them, Lincoln and I used the leapfrog method to get further into the base. Finally I took the left side (south) and Lincoln took the right side (north) and I took up a defensive position from one of the bunkers. It wasnt long before I heard the guys in the tower say I thought all the grays were asleep, So I took the opportunity and yelled out well. were reds! So what are yall!!!???. HA HA! Now they think that we were on their side and it was just some friendly fire. Now I got up and tried to find Lincoln. I was literally walking around this base hoping nobody would notice my armband. Suddenly I heard that re-assuring noise again of Lincoln angel shooting at 10 BPS, it was coming from the command bunker and he was pinning the guys in the tower down. I jogged over to the command bunker and as soon as I turned the corner, Lincoln was sitting there, already aiming his gun at me incase I was a red. Now both of us went into the command bunker, Lincoln was to tag as many people out as he could from up top, my job was to stay on the 1st floor guarding the entrance from the dark. Luckily for me, my job was easy in that nobody tried to get into the bunker; I just sat their waiting and listening to Lincoln shoot up top tagging people out. It wasnt long before I heard voices and a twig cracking near the entrance, so I got Lincoln back down and told him they are going to be trying to get in soon and I feared they had a grenade, so we decided to abandon the command bunker and haul ass back to the tree line where we had a definite advantage with night vision (because we were in a dark area looking back into a light area because of moonlight). We successfully made it out of the bunker and made it to the tree line without taking a hit, so now we were stealth again, some reds thought we were still in the bunker, others thought we had made it far back into the woods, but nobody knew our exact position, we were about 5 minutes into hiding we heard the ref.s say they were tired and had to get some rest. THIS MADE ME MAD!!!! If it wasnt for this, Lincoln and I would have recaptured our base completely and possibly captured theirs. Well, thats the SHORT version of the story of Lincoln and I operating at night during the Wildfire 24 hour Spring scenario 2002. |
