We are 5 - 7 year-old Guides, and we meet once a week at the local Guide Hall. There are usually 8-12 girls and two leaders, and sometimes a pack Guide as well.
Our leaders are Tamba (Claire), Nara (Chloe) and Karinya (Deretta). We give our leaders Aboriginal names, or names of Australian animals. Tamba means 'ibis'. Nara means 'companion'. Karinya means 'peaceful home'. We sometimes have 'pack Guides' from the older Guide units to help the leaders. New leaders are always welcome!
At our meetings we like doing things such as craft, cooking, games, walking to the park nearby, and themed activities. Last year we did lots of fun things, including learning about our environment, learning about Guides here and in different countries, making music, painting, cooking, going to the park and bushwalking, and we ended the year with a special afternoon tea at the Beehive Cafe in Beecroft.
In the past few years we have been to Adventure at Glengarry and Dolphin Day at Tingira. We had such great fun we want to do it all again!
You can see what we do each week by clicking here. There are programmes for the last few years. If you would like any information about the programme please email us.
