[07:10am] Good Morning! And...Happy Birthday Gilbert! ^_^

Minato is so great! Even if James wasn't there to do the job, Sam was. And he was such a dutiful, hard-working sushi chef. =)

7 orders of the best mackeral I've ever tasted later...and after 5 orders of unagi, 6 of yellowtail (mostly for Shelton, ha ha...), 7 orders of salmon, 1 order of albacore tataki, 1 crunch roll, 1 Minato's Special #3, and 2 Salmon Skin rolls later...

...we were so full, we thought we would dieeeeeeeeee...=) But we ate our $23 worth of All-You-Can-Eat-Sushi. Actually, we calculated that we ate about $112.40 worth of sushi. ^_^ Sushimon has a huuuuge variety of tasty rolls, but this place cuts the slices soooo nicely...and their salmon is beauuuuuuutifully fatty (it's like the toro of salmon!), and their mackeral is well...simply the best...So at least we would die happy. ^_^

[09:21pm] Guess what this is...??? ^_^

Okonomiyaki!!!! =)

It's Dorothy and Okonomiyaki...

...and a Gail too! ^_^

Beautiful artwork after everything was eaten...(note: THESE shrimp tails could not be consumed!)

Two genki-little-okonomiyaki-filled souls! ^_^

Ahhh, it was GREAT hanging out and talking with you today, swing buddy! =) It's been sooooooooooo long!!!

Blast them teacup saucers...but it's okay...maybe that means that they will fade away later too. =( But I still lust for them, heh heh heh...

It was also so fantastic to hang out and Juice-It-Up with Joanna yesterday! =) I'm so excited that she will champion the decorations. She has some awesome ideas!!! I won't say anything here...a little surprise will be fun for everyone, right? ^_^

Gilbert called. He had eaten the carrot-raisin salad at my aunt's yesterday when his mom visited her. He approved. =) Continue to pray for his jobbing. =)

Today was weird. I woke up at 2:30am'ish and couldn't go back to sleep. So I did my taxes and finished them. Woo hoo for tax returns! =) And then I spent the rest of the morning doing a million wedding things before I took a nap for a few hours...got up...finished grading...called parents and students and surprise them over break with reminders for this or that...and then off onto the yellow brick road to get to Oz and find Dorothy. =)

[11:57am] Mmm...I made an impromtpu carrot raisin salad today...but packed it up with some fresh pineapple bits, crunched up pecans, and imitation crab. =) All on a toasted bread...so it's kinda like a bruschetta, ha ha ha. =) Ooo...next time, I'll rub some garlic into the bread before I toast it, and maybe even toast the whole thing in the oven to warm it up. And add a sprig of cilantro on top, ha ha...Either way, I'd eat it all up. =)

Having break to cook and experiment is great. =) I deliver the goods to my aunts on the street, because it just makes it more fun to share. ^_^

[09:47pm] Easter Weekend was as good as it could get...! ^_^

[07:22pm] R.I.P. Grover Cleveland...12/17/06 - 4/2/07...

Another one bites the dust...!

But he always was getting constipated from eating too greedily, and then floating around funny because of it...and so we think there was always something going on with him...In the end, he didn't make it...=( And he was always so jolly and round...!

He was buried under the orange tree, next to Barnabas. Though they weren't great friends (Grover would try to go into the tube while Barnabas guarded it, and sometimes he's smoosh himself in!), they should remain as neighbors even now. =)

Things have been going nonstop, literally. This is the first break I've had in the past, uh...week. =P Every time I turn around, someone wants to know something about the wedding, or have ideas to share (which is great and all. ^_^ It's just...all this is so time consuming! No wonder people get married once and that's it! It may be just one day, but my goodness...), or there's a pile of papers that I have to grade, or I have to lesson plan, or figure out how I'm taking and organizing more than 100 students to Six Flags and how the meetings and practice competitions after school will be like, what things to prepare for the department meetings here and there, and why the store hasn't replied yet to my frequent calls and messages about the bridesmaid dresses (are they in yet??? Maybe they are tired of me bugging them. But it's been a month, when they said a week or two...!). Hmm. And that's just a portion of all the crazy things going on. A lot of things usually make us Virgos happy, as Heidi might say, but tooooo much? I think I've learned that there can be too much! Especially when you seem to get not enough sleep and want to doze off the minute students are out of your room. =P

I do have wonderful people helping me out though, and it totally lightens the load. Shelton, Christina, my bridesmaids, my family, church, and friends certainly are willing to get their hands dirty and help me out, so it's awesome. =)

We ordered the flowers this weekend, looked around at apartments, ate at Pho 79, partied it up with some dinner from my aunt's block party, visited a house, and even had Takoyaki and Shaved Ice at Genki with Shelton, Derrick, and Anna! ^_^ It was fun seeing takoyaki and okonomiyaki being made, but it took forever. Takoyaki would take good half-hour, or more...O_o We ran into Margaret and Allen while we were there too. =)
