11.27.04, Saturday:

[10:14pm] To simply add more fun pictures (and procrastinate from finishing up lesson planning), I'm going to blog about dinner, hee hee...^_^

This delicious dinner starred my cousins Simon, Anthony, and Andrew, GrandAunt and GrandUncle (who I found out knows kung fu and will easily fight for nothing!!! Ahh...if only he could be here longer, so that I could be his disciple! Heh heh...!), my mom and dad, and my aunt and uncle! We went to New Capital in RH for dinner...WOW! Their food was soooo good!!! Their portions were huge compared to normal sizes, and everything was done really well. We had yummy yummy 10 plate meal - Spicy/Salted Crab, steamed Fish (2 of them on one plate!), sweet and sour-y Peking Pork Chops, Cream of Corn soup, Sautéed Shrimp with veggies, scrumptious Lettuce Wraps, Shitake Mushrooms with Abalone (I think?) and some type of Choy, BBQ Pork and Shrimp Golden Fried Rice, and some type of Chicken dish...mmm...and Giant fried Sea Shrimp (it was free, one per person; they always have this free something as a promotion, since the restaurant is fairly new!)! Of course, we were served the traditional, though-tastier-than-usual-because-it-had-pearl-tapioca-and-other-goods-in-it, red bean dessert! ^_^

One more crucial picture to post...Andrew muuust be at least a foot taller than I...sigh...at least I'm not the shortest one around here...^_~

[12:25pm] What a lovely week! 3 days of work...and then play time (sorta)! On Thanksgiving Day, after doing massive household clean-up and assisting with some cooking, my GrandAunt and GrandUncle visited us (from HK) and had Thanksgiving dinner with us. =) Rosalyn came by after her dinner to sleep over, as we took off for shopping in the wee hours of the morning! When I set the alarm for the next day, apparently, I moved the time up by an hour...and so we got up at 2am, thinking it was 3am...I've never gone early-morning Black Friday shopping before, ha ha...

It was fun though! We arrived at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets a bit before 4am, and a few stores opened up at that time, so we went shopping! The first place that we dropped in was DKNY, and wow! 50% off already-reduced prices, and an additional 40% off of that. Woot-woot! I got a few good things there...though what was most memorable was this guy-and-girl tag team. The guy would go pick up a ton of guy things and stack them (multiple items of each; either everyone on their list is getting the same stuff, or they're eBaying/selling it, hee hee...) to be paid, the girl would raid the girl side (they were on their way to buy out the store!), and the lady was trying to get each of the tags off, ring them up, and bag them...the pile about as tall as I was...! I do wonder what the bill was on that...oy! After a while, the lady told them they couldn't get any more, as their pile was taking up too much time, and slowing down transactions for everyone else in the store. Meanwhile, the guy was taking things off the hanger for her, and the girl was moving bags at a time to the car and back. Karazy!

After we got home, around 4:30 pm (about a 12-hour shopping day! Oy! My feet were sore and tired. It was quite an experience. But the deals were insanely good! Except for a few items for my parents and bro, almost everything else was under $10. Wonderful! ^_^ I'm too Chinese - I love excellent deals!), Rosalyn and I counted up our spendings and savings. Here are my statistics, without revealing too much:

Would I do it again? I certainly think so. =) It was fun, hee hee...regular sales and outlet prices aren't anything special, but the extra-extra savings that they had before 10am were certainly worth it. I mean, they had really good stuff...for more than really good prices. True, I'm about spent out, physically and financially (I certainly think it's a lot, though I guess compared with typical Christmas spending, it's not too bad at all. But then again, remember...I'm cheap...^_^), but the deals were well worth it! And it was fun trying "shopping strategies" with Ros, hee hee...there are mad-shopper secrets that maybe, one day, I will reveal to you too! ^_^

Today is a more kick-back day...where I can update my blog, grade the rest of my papers, and lesson plan. My GrandAunt and GrandUncle came again this morning to take pictures here and there, and we'll have a yummy dinner out before they leave back to HK tonight!

11.21.04, Sunday:

[11:15pm] It's that time of the year when I grab out my Coca-Cola bear slippers and traipse around the house...I love this brisk, freezing cold air!!! ^_^ Did anyone hear the thunder last night? My goodness! At about 2am, thunder as loud as a giant earthquake shook the walls of my house...it sounded like lightning had struck somewhere nearby, with the windows shaking and car alarms going off everywhere. It sounds silly, but I had just baaarely fallen asleep, and woken up by something this loud...for a moment, I questioned if the world was going to end! Heh heh...I wasn't exactly scared, but more curious of what was going to happen next. =P

The thunder was crazy-loud, and the lightning was intensely bright...rain fell down like mad, and as dim and morbid as it seems, I kinda enjoyed it. Though it's freezing cold, the air feels incredibly clean and fresh, and waking up to seeing white snow on those Cleveland Forest mountains right next to my house is simply awesome. The drive to church included a breathtaking view of mountains all covered in snow and clouds. I couldn't get over it! I wish it was more like this down here in SoCal, hee hee...=)

Besides all that hub-bub in the wee hours of the morning, this weekend has been pretty crazy. But I didn't mind, as I only have 3 days of school this week! ^_^ On Saturday, I went with my mom and dad (and Auntie Rosa) to Sears down at South Coast (isn't it funny to think Sears is still there, at this upscale mall? But it's been there forever, and is just a part of it now...It's a good source of practical goods that you won't find in the boutiques and such there, thus, it's necessary!), to spend a big gift certificate my mom got for working at her job for 20 years. My dad complained that he's gotten nothing for his 26 years, hee hee. We got a DVD player and an oven. =) We continued to meander in the OC, eating Pho (broken rice for me this time!), visiting some new model homes for fun (these model homes had fridges packed with water bottles for the taking! If only I had brought a backpack with me...muah ha...), and a new Korean market. My parents thought the "HK Market" stood for Hong Kong Supermarket...ha ha...instead, it stood for "Han Kook" Market, so we got some unplanned Korean goods. =)

At night, we were off to our Thanksgiving dinner, which we haven't had at church for a while. I've missed these, and am glad it's back this year. The turnout was great, the sharing was neat, and the food was awwwesome! Juicy ham, done-just-right turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy...apple and shrimp salad, lots of desserts, and of course, Chinese-style foods as well! Today's lunch was about the same, only more food (or about the same?) as well as fresh tempura bananas! ^_^ Mrs. Wang makes THE best tempura bananas (or maybe only because it was just freshly fried, eh?) and whole wheat man-tous that I've ever had. Mmm. I will be her disciple one of these days! Oh! I even sang in Chinese for Thanksgiving. Hee hee. =) Besides that, today was church again, and besides clean-up, we stayed late to practice for Praise next week...then went home for a few hours before going to Fellowship at Cheryl's. So many events. I'd be stressed over school work if it was a normal week - thank goodness it's not. =)

A while ago, our "Tang Hua" bloomed. It's those flowers that only bloom once, and bloom really big and beautifully, and usually, only at night (or in shaded areas). A ton of Chinese people seem to have them, as they're easy to grow. My dad also just pulled up some big and yummy opos that he grew. Here's a good picture of them, that includes a little orange that he grew too, hee hee...^_^ The oranges were good - because it's been cold, it tastes like it's from the refrigerator when just picked, only fresher. =) I haven't put pictures up in a while - need to this more! ^_^

11.19.04, Friday:

[11:35pm] I Target-ed today. Hee hee. =) And guess what I found??? The contact solution I usually buy is like $12 for a twin pack. Right next to it, I spotted the generic Target brand twin pack...for $4!!! No way! I read the ingredients, and they were exactly the same. The function is the same too - No Rub, Multi-Purpose, the whole bit. I asked the pharmacist to be sure, and she says they're the same and aren't any different! Yay! So I'm going to try them. Not too big of a loss if it doesn't work out. Cheaper than fundraiser cookies...but then...isn't everything? =P

My Zero Period team is undefeated in football...and today, we played the championship game. We won! Woot woot! =) We were hootin' and hollerin' from the sidelines for our players this morning, and they played excellently, intercepting and making great throws and catches! I'm not a football fan, but I've been liking it only because we're winning, hee hee. My classes have never, ever won! In fact, last year, we were full of short people, and dubbed ourselves the "Oompa Loompas". =) Anyways, Tuesday after school, we're playing against the teachers in the Students against the Teachers game. I won't even be there, because I got a notice from LD that he wants many of us away at a workshop that day. Again? I hate being out of the classroom!!! I wasn't notified beforehand of this either. Bleah. =P I wanted to do project presentations that day...=( Their Element Cubes are lookin' good, and due on Monday. =P

11.18.04, Thursday:

[07:10pm] Aw, look at that...bittermelon destroyed the tagboard...hee hee...j/k...^_^ It's not been working for the past few days, but I'm sure it's not due to bittermelon. =)

Tuesday night was the book club meeting at Heidi's apartment. Heidi moves around a lot, hee hee...I always picture her house, with the colorful walls and big window-wall to the backyard, but I know she's not living there anymore. Then, once I got used to the "illage" house and the idea of the old, old (ewww) husband of the owner, she moved on out of there, and is now at an apartment near UCR. Anyways, the meeting was good - lots of good discussion was generated, and it lead into some of our own lives. It's neat, because when you're at school, and you have discussions about a book, it usually has to stay centered on the book itself. However, here, it's not always so - often, it's centered on how our own experiences are reflected (or not reflected) in the book of choice. I think this must be at a much higher level, because, well, books don't only draw us out from where we are to somewhere new and different, but it also connects to our own lives, thus giving it much more meaning than just any ol' novel.

I heard that Jeffrie tripped on the last stair on her way out, and hurt her ankle! Yikes - and to think that I was still sitting in Heidi's place, chattin' along with Sue and Heidi...and all that happened? She hasn't been at work since then. Does anyone have her number???

The incident with Psycho-Librarian-Man is still...weeeeird...Basically, he was letting kids without technology stickers on their ID cards to use the computer, and I was shocked when I found out, because we could be in a lot of hot water if this goes on. He was also giving kids water in the library, gum, and basically talking with the kids in a non-library voice. All those things are what Marian (she's the other librarian, so to say, and I looooove her to death! She's like a grandma to me, hee hee...) has to deal with on a day to day basis, including the fact that he keeps on checking out books to students who have overdue books. The school currently has the longest list in history of overdue books - 26 pages long, in fact! Come spring time, and the library will be in total chaos!

This morning, I talked to him about my concerns about expectations for my students when we're in the library...and he went KARAZY. I'm so serious...he got extremely defensive, and said I was calling him stupid for not knowing the procedures of the district, that I was in HIS library and thus the kids could do whatever HE felt was okay since he was the librarian (of which, by the way, he is technically not. WHO hired him? LD, I'm sure. Surprisingly, LD heard about the problems, and he has been REALLY supportive. Apparently, I'm not the only one. LD says he's kinda bizarre as well. Innnnteresting.).

Oy. I was really shocked from his response this morning, and didn't know what to say. All I could say was..."Wha...??? What are you doing? What are you saying?", and of course, he flipped that back and said something like "No, no, what are YOU doing?", with something along the lines of who-do-you-think-you-are-I-know-more-because-I'm-the-librarian-and-you're-not. In the end, he basically said that since I want it MY way in the library then I could just do it all myself. When I came in with my students later, he slammed his office door shut. I found the papers with internet websites on them all taken away from the computer (fortunately, my kids already had a list of websites that I gave them on the first day of the project, and I had extras as well.), and the books were moved to a different area. Towards the end of the day, he started watching us from his library, and he came out once to start pointing that this or that kid was using the internet without their card on the card display in full Gestapo-style, though they had it on there (they had taken it down for a few minutes), and another kid, he turned off her computer in front of Marian, who was fixing something on that student's card right then and there, after Marian said to him in front of the student that she was okay to use the computer. Anyways, as it turns out, I'm not the only one who thinks that something is strangely up with him, and LD will have a talk with him tomorrow. I don't know if anything will be solved. =P

I have no grading tonight, and tomorrow will be an easy library (maybe easy, right?) day. I suppose I could be lesson planning. Or, I could head to Target, buy contact solution, and decide on whether or not I should get the Buffy DVDs...but I don't want to spend money...though I'm sure I will get it, because it's only $30 for the whole season...and I'm already comfy in sweats and a t-shirt, glasses, and ponytail. =) Oh wait. I could read Lucky! ^_^

11.15.04, Monday:

[06:37am] All this bittermelon talk while I was away? Hee hee...They have many interesting recipes here, though my mom either just sautés them or will slice them really thin and mix them with scrambled eggs to trick me into eating them! I wouldn't want bittermelon to be miserable and sad, with its purpose not being fulfilled, but see...Once upon a time, I was unexpectedly shocked by its pungent flavor when it was deceitfully mixed in with golden yellow eggs...it perhaps was a little traumatizing...=)

Gail's Stomach? Or perhaps Gail's...uh...Gastric Goodness? Heh heh...

This weekend was fun, fun, fun! ^_^ On Saturday, I went to the REACh Annual Planning Meeting. All kinds of new things for next year - winter and summer camp dates have been moved up, and we're hosting a rally! Calvin was there to join me at the meeting, so after, me, him, and Karen (his sister, whom I've not seen in a while!) went to eat wonton/dumpling noodles for lunch in Arcadia. Corona really needs one of these "jook/fun/mien" (porridge and noodles...it includes rice and other yummy foods, generally) cafe places...*sigh* On the way home, I imagined myself building one - decorating it, figuring out the finances of it, and cooking there after researching recipes at thousands of other tasty spots, and even using old coffee shop skills with an expresso machine...and of course, eating there. Corona should have one! =)

There were a LOT of people at church on Sunday - old faces, like James (who always gets recognized whenever he's back, because he's white, hee hee...j/k j/k!), Calvin, Fred, Kathleen, Carmen...and some new faces, including another Tiffany! [Tiffany T, where were you??? Are you hip hopping tonight? ^_^ ] After church, Shelton and I went to accompany my mom, who went shopping...my mom is not quite so addicted to Target just yet...but we will pull her over to the bright side soon enough, muah ha! The rest of the night included dinner with Simon, and winning at Scrabble! Ha ha! I had amazingly good letters this time though, so maybe I was just lucky. =)

11.12.04, Friday:

[11:59pm] A few more minutes of Friday left, hee hee...it's been a decent week at work. LD hasn't been on any rampages lately that I know of, and I've been safe, I suppose. I was evaluated today, and the things he said made perfect sense, and it wasn't completely irrationally-nit-picky-and-psycho-targeted at the least. Wow. I was scared, and quite nervous (it showed. The kids could tell. =P) because during out department meeting on Wednesday, other science teachers were telling me of recent rampages that I had no idea of (he'd been quite nice this year, giving me whatever I've requested for my classroom and responding to my questions and what-nots positively; I thought it might have been because of the large influx of new teachers, heh heh), and scared the heck out of me, when I wasn't the least scared at first.

Anyways, on Wednesday, we had our "District-wide Earthshake" earthquake drill. My kids were doing fine, until we got out to the field. One boy snapped a rubber band at a girl, and in return, she kicked him straight in the nuts - with excellent aim, might I add. I didn't even see it happen, but I did see him completely keeled over on the ground, his face in complete agony, with silent tears running down his face. Owwww. The girl didn't realize how serious it was, because she had no idea he was in pain, so when I called her over and told her the seriousness of it, she got scared. I mean REALLY scared, to the point that she was telling me that she felt like she was going to faint, and that she wasn't able to hear anything. With one hand still on the boy, the other half of me was telling her to sit down, breathe slowly (and I could see beads of sweat starting to grow on her forehead), and to have her friends keep a good eye on her. Such craziness during a drill hasn't happened to me yet, so I guess it was about due time. =P

In the end, both eventually became okay, and got suspended. I'm sure that that boy will never snap a rubber band at another girl again - particularly this one. Heh heh. =) I know...it's horrible to laugh at it...=)

Thursday was a lovely day off! I visited Shelton down in the OC (That "OC" show has really given the term "OC" a different meaning, eh?), where I finally watched "The Miracle Box". It really was good - I liked how the Chinese girl didn't act like those annoying Sammi characters, hee hee...I don't Sammi's acting too much, in case you can't tell...^_^ Anyways, besides it being Christian, I heard this movie is based on a true story, somewhat. Pretty cool. After that, we went off to Brookhurst (and passed the Chiu Chou restaurant, Vietnamese Egg Taco, and Lee's Sandwiches) to eat at the Best Soup in Town Pho place: Pho 79, or some other number, hee hee...it was yummy! Just walking in, the aroma of fresh pho soup surrounded my every senses, hee hee...Did you know that "Pho Dac Biet" is actually, when translated into Cantonese, is "Fun Duc Beet" (Noodle Special = House Special Noodles)? We also had scrumptiously and freshly deep fried egg rolls, wrapped with leafy veggies and dipped in watered-down fish sauce, hee hee. Mmm. =)

We went meandering about at The Block. Besides finding interesting thingamabobs everywhere, we also got to watch The Incredibles! Yay! I liked it. 'Twas a fun, action-packed movie. Besides that, we visited a total of two Targets to find wedding presents for Shelton's friend, and had Korean tofu pot and bulgogi for dinner. Mmm. Bulgogi. I love saying "Bulgogi" and "Bibimbap", heh heh, because it's so much fun...if you don't believe me, say them three times fast...! I think I still do like Korean short ribs the best though. =)

After work today, Kathleen and I went down to Curry House in Puente Hills. Mmm! I had some egg taco thing. Basically, an egg pancake that was filled with curried rice pilaf, and veggies and curry on the side. I still like the one I had in Beijing best - it was that egg taco, but filled with rice that was mixed with ketchup or something. It was miiiighty good. =) We also split a Curry Pan - a curry filled fried round type thing. We went around the Puente Hills Mall, window-shopping here and there. The coolest part was the little koi pond. Those fish were HUGE - I mean, like 2 to 4 pound catfish size, hee hee...these fish looked good enough to eat! ^_^ But of course, I guess we're not to, as they're kinda like pets at the mall, right? I walked up to the pond and stood at the edge, pretending like I was feeding them, when in reality, I was throwing nothing into the pond. Suddenly, the four BIG ones all ended up coming to me and Kathleen, waiting for us to feed it. The biggest, fattest one kept nudging the second fattest one away, hee hee. It was hilarious, as I kept fake-tossing things in there, and they were just patiently waiting. When the alpha-fat-fish succeeded in pushing the others away, and kept opening his mouth at me, waiting for more imaginary food, we left. I ain't about to toss no imaginary food to one that was so greedy, hee hee. =)

The night was not allowed to end without dessert, so we visited the famed Phoenix Food Boutique for all kinds of tasty goodies! It's got appetizers, snacks, drinks, desserts (like red bean paste, black sticky rice dessert, mango pudding, and even guilingoa! Ick on that last one, hee hee...) and even noodles, rice, and congee! Mmm. I'm now officially stuffed "up da kazoo", muah ha...Must go again one day to try more things. =) Anyways, it was fun to hang out with Kathleen again. How I've missed this homegirl! You're done with your test now...so you better be there Sunday! ^_~

11.09.04, Tuesday:

[07:57pm] What what? What's that??? You have the "the most wonderful, amazing, and lovely gf in the world"??? Hee hee. Oh yeah? Well, MY boyfriend is just as, if not more, wonderful, amazing, and lovely, ha ha...though "lovely" is like "piao liang" in mandarin, instead of "shuai". I should say instead that I have the most "shuai" bf in the world, hee hee hee...^_^

I just started "Bless Me, Ultima". I love the use of the Spanish language in there, and how the story is flowing along - the narration is captivating. Of course, I only started it today in Zero Period, and am only on page 7...but I like it so far. ^_^ I finished Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister this past weekend, and I really liked it - WAY more than Wicked, which was more..."political"...

Back to that 5-inch stack of papers I'm grading...when you realize that each sheet of paper is 10,000 atoms thick, 5-inches is...well...a lot of atoms to be going through...hee hee...but it's not at all like grading essays, which literally IS forever and a bag of bittermelons...=P

11.08.04, Monday:

[06:12am] Wow! I haven't updated in a while. Let's see...I voted Tuesday night, hee hee...^_^ From there, it was school all week long. I did get Thursday off for a Content Literacy Workshop, which was great! One of my favorite district person, Jeano, was the presenter, and it makes me happy that she says things that make sense to me, unlike how we are often told to do things that don't make any sense at all! ^_^ Friday after work, I met up with Giang, and we got to do some studying, loooooots of catching up, meandering at the mall and eating dinner at the Pacific Grill again. Their free samples work eeeevery time to hook us into ordering food with them! ^_^

I saw a cool t-shirt at American Eagle while I was there. It had a kangaroo on it that said "Hip hop till you stop" or something like that. Hee hee. It's only available in this weird green...but I might get it anyways, hee hee. =)

Very little work was done Saturday, though I got to play a lot - we were out for Melody's birthday party! Happy Birthday Melody! ^_^ Everyone kinda arrived late, so The Incredibles was all sold out. Luckily, Ralm has a mini-movie theater at his house, muah ha ha...so we went there instead and watched Around the World in 80 Days, gawk at the new balcony and the great view, and to shoot some pool (I won! Ha ha! J/k j/k...I won't gloat about my victory...! Muah ha...^_^) before meeting up everyone else at dinner. We ate at Pomodoro before heading back to Ralm's to finish the movie, play more pool, and celebrate with pie and ice cream. =) Thanks to Tiffany and Gilbert, who helped organize the whole thing. =)

Happy Birthday to Catherine on Sunday! ^_^ Yay! Sunday was also CCF down at TNT's, which was filled with good food, fellowship, grape-tossing again, and more learning from the Good Book. It's neat - when you think about it, where else do you sit down and learn from the Word of God, and share ideas with others? It's not an every day thing. And yet, it'd actually be nice if it was, you know? I've read the Bible front to back before, and yet, every time, there's still new things to learn about, and new applications to live by. It's neat. =)

Oh yeah. I also counted coins for my mom on Sunday. My parents had collected a whole bunch of them (my dad collected all these pennies, hee hee), and so my mom, Shelton, and I counted out almost a hundred dollars worth. Wow! Heh heh. Maybe I should start coin collecting? Muah ha ha...^_^

11.02.04, Tuesday:

[06:10am] It's election day today! Are you voting? I'm going after work today! =)

What did I do Friday night? Basically, I chillaxed, did some lesson planning, and read, read, read! ^_^ So it was great! Hee hee...Saturday and Sunday were much more eventful, but also wonderful because I got to play, and at the same time, had all my work done, in the end anyways. =)

I went with Melody to visit our friend Crystal up in LA! Haven't seen her in a while, so it was nice to get to chat with her, live, and catch up on all kinds of things. Give me a call girlie, whenever you are free! Soon! ^_^Then, since we were in the LA area, Melody and I went to the Natural History Museum to meet up with Shelton. But yo, parking was $6! Heh heh...being the cheapos we were, we decided to forget the museum (we'd only be there for an hour anyways) and to meet at KFC (of which, if you've read my xanga, seems to be the source of many conspiracies, hee hee). The KFC had no bathroom...and Capitan Burgers next door was closed (on a Saturday? I think it's out of business...)...so strange...but anyways, I was transferred over from the Civic to the Altima, and went off towards San Gabriel. =)

We were early for the party, so instead, we meandered along the New/Valley area...stopped by the Alleluia Christian Bookstore, drove by an Ajisen's Ramen shop (I'm so excited! I had seen them in Shanghai and had wanted to try it...and now there's one here! ^_^), and loitered around at that big San Gabriel 99/Focus center, heh heh...before heading off to the BBQ. It was fun! besides the neat house, I really like the bathroom, ha ha...it had this big window where I'm sure everyone and their mom could see you use the bathroom and shower, but at the same time, I liked the style! ^_^ The party was filled with interesting and fun people - Kevin, a semi-quiet fellow who surprisingly moshes and wants a big banner tattooed on his shoulders, hee hee...; Derrick, the talkative birthday boy whose roles can be reversed with his father at times - I can picture him studying in his room whhile his dad is outside, rockin' the guitar with his band in the garage! ; Victor, quiet though well-loved amongst his friends - those stories they kept telling about him, though they were funny about him, were nothing but signs of care and love that has been worn for years!; Benson, who not only my brother would love to have as a buddy because he rides a bike, but because his cell phone ring is that of Mario World; and all the wonderful aunties (and uncle, who also is an artiste!) that were there to cook and bring joy to the event! ^_^ I've never had so much food before at one BBQ. But it was all so yummy...!

Sunday, after church, Shelton and I drove all over Corona/Norco - from Staples (I had a free $10!) to Target and even Wal-Mart...yikes...I was forced to go there, indeed...Target was out of film canisters (or had them all in some messy trash can anyways), and in the end, so was Wal-Mart. =( I eventually found a ton at school, but I did get there at 7am to do so and set up the lab for yesterday. Our last stop was Albertsons, to pick up some groceries for my mom as well. All that meandering was fun though, especially when you're with someone like Shelton though, right? ^_^ The night ended with another party, in which my mom invited the Women's Fellowship over for a big dinner of everything - jook, crab, and all the fixin's. Asa and Leah took care of the Halloween candy-passing-out, and the rest of us simply fellowshipped, which is always such a precious thing to do. =) It was hard to do that, when in the back of my mind, I kept thinking that hey...! I have to finish my lesson planning...! But God takes care of these things...! My brother helped too, playing Uno with Asa and Leah at the end for me. =)

Hey...I hope you're feeling better! ^_^ Drink your chicken soup! Nyquil! Ricola! And Totino's Pizza (tomatoes? Vitamin C? ^_^), hee hee...=)

The kids are starting to get sick, majorly. One girl was lying with her head back in class most of the time yesterday, so I walked by and put my hand on her head - it was warm, a fever starting to happen. She didn't want to go to the nurse's office and call home until later in the day. Fever, nausea, and vomitting...will I escape unscathed this season?
