| Solar Fox (CBS Electronics) | ||||||||||||||||||
| Rating: 7.5 High Score (so far): 37800 Solar Fox seems to me to be the original and ingenious concept of merging Pac Man with space. For those of you who think that pandering to fads is a fairly recent thing, think again. What did I just say? Suffice it to say that the concept is hackneyed. Nevertheless.... |

| The game is quite fun and challenging. You have to pick up the square things. You are only allowed to move on the grid and the what-have-yous on the top and bottom periodically shoot at you. Pressing the button speeds the ship. I assume there is some fancy term like "turbo boost" in the manual. If you beat the round quickly (before the "skip a rack" bar expires) you jump the next round. | ||||||||||||||||||
| There is also a fun bonus round (not pictured) in which you have a set amount of time to complete the rack for extra points. The action speeds up fairly quickly. After the first rack things get challenging. ...what's that? You're wondering how I've used the word "rack" three times without making some crude joke? What do you take me for? I, sir, am offended. |
