Warhammer 40K
Sisters of Battle
My Living Saint is called St Sabbateen based on the charactor from the "Gaunts Ghost" novels by Dan Abnett
Seraphim Squad "Vespa" of the Sisters of the Cleansing Flame.
So how did I get involved in Tabletop Wargaming at age 60? Well on a visit to my youngest daughter  who was living in Armidale my 2 sub teen grandchildren were busy assembling armies of Space Wolves, Space Marines & Orks as they had found a Wargaming Club nearby. Grandpa was co-opted to assist & paint the models & to their suprise I painted better than they did (Courtesy of many model planes etc when I was in my late teens & 20s)

When they moved to Moruya I thought I would collect & paint an Army so I could play with them. I choose the Sisters of Battle as they were very different to all other Armies in the 40K Universe. Unfortunately there were very few SoB models available & the Codex (rule book) had been out of print for some time although I did track one down on E-Bay.

I then decided to collect Black Templar Space Marines as I was intrested in the history of the Knights Templar from the Crusades. Eventually the Sisters were re launched in the Witchhunters Codex & I was able to complete my Sisters Army. I also have a Daemon Hunters Army with a Puritan Inquisitor & Grey Knighis & we now have a local Gaming Club called the MORUYA  MARAUDERS who meet twice monthly for gaming.
Black Templars
This is the Rhino Transport for the Cannoness of my Sisters. The Cherubs with the Trumpets broadcast Holy sayings & Hymns to inspire the Battle Sisters to great feats of Arms while the Storm Bolters mounted on the turret mow down the enemies of the Holy  Emperor of Terra.

Below are pictures of some of my Black Templar Army. The Left one is my Marshall & on the right a Squad Leader. Below again a BT Drop Pod & a picture of the whole Army at a Club Display.j
