This is another droving poem inspired after visiting the Stockmens Hall of Fame in Longreach Queensland and doing a few four wheel drive trips out past Birdsville and down the Birdsville Track. It also helped having a couple of beers at the famous Blue Heeler Pub at Kynuna, Queensland.

The Blue Heeler Blues

It was three months ago last Friday since we left the Isas booze
And I lived in this damned saddle with the red sand dunes for views
So is it any wonder Ive got
The old Blue Heeler blues

Ive followed on behind a thousand head that moos
Theres steers of every colour; And theres cows of every hue
And every mile they travel they add more dust to
These old Blue Heeler blues

The End
Here is a picture of the famous Birdsville Pub which is an Australian Icon.
It is situated on the Diamontina River & is renowned for the Bush Races held each year when thousands of visitors come to enjoy the outback atmosphere.
.  Droving Tracks also pass nearby due to the water available. Birdsville was named for the great flocks of Parrots that nest in the trees along the river
