* FORCE FUSION - COST: 2 Points + 2 per monster in the fusion - CAN TEAM BE CHANGED?: Yes. (Each must have this ability though.) - This is a variation of the normal fusion that can be used to fuse with various monsters. - Add the ATTACK, DEFENSE, HP, SPEED, and SPHERE MARKS of the team while fused. All monsters in the fusion must be at the same level of evolution. - If the fused monster is knocked out or killed, the same condition applies to all members of the fusion. ---------------------------------------------------------------- * FUSION - COST: 2 Points + 1 per monster in the fusion - CAN TEAM BE CHANGED?: No. - Many anime exhibit this ability, some of which include Pet Monster anime (such as Digimon). Using Fusion means combining a minimum of two monsters into one super-monster for a short period of time (one battle, at least). You can take this ability multiple times to represent fusing with other monster partners. Tamer/Monster fusions can't be done with this ability (see White Powers for that ability). - Add the ATTACK, DEFENSE, HP, SPEED, and SPHERE MARKS of the team while fused. All monsters in the fusion must be at the same level of evolution. - If the fused monster is knocked out or killed, the same condition applies to all members of the fusion. ---------------------------------------------------------------- * FUSION EVOLUTION - COST: 1 point per monster in the fusion - CAN TEAM BE CHANGED?: No. - A fused being that evolves again is not an uncommon occurance in anime, so this ability is here to represent evolutions usable only when monsters are fused. Every monster in the fusion must pay the cost, but the ability can only be used when they are all fused. Of course, possessing FUSION is a prerequisite of this ability. - Treat as TEMPORARY EVOLUTION, but is only usable by a fused monster. ---------------------------------------------------------------- * HYBRID (PASSIVE) - COST: 2 Points + 1 point per monster in the team - CAN TEAM BE CHANGED?: No. - Some fusions can be made to last forever under certain circumstances. This ability represents the events when some monsters become fused forever. All the bonuses and penalties of a Fusion are seen here, but a Hybrid doesn't seperate even in life/death circumstances or when Disabled. - Add the ATTACK, DEFENSE, HP, SPEED, and SPHERE MARKS of the team. All monsters in the fusion must be at the same level of evolution, but this can be corrected by Temporary Evolution (up or down). NOTE: Soldiers, Supports, and NPCs cannot purchase the Hybrid ability. ---------------------------------------------------------------- * PACK - COST: 2 Points per monster in the team. - CAN TEAM BE CHANGED?: Yes. (Each member MUST have this ability though.) - Just like TAG TEAM, PACK is the more generic cousin to that ability that allows groups of monsters (usually of the same type or family) to attack as one large group and deal considerable damage. Almost always, this power is combined with Divided Attack to represent "fly-by shootings". - Add the ATTACK of each monster in team. Each monster's ATTACK is replaced by the new number, if they're in the same battle. ---------------------------------------------------------------- * SOLDIERS (PASSIVE) - COST: 1 point per soldier - Every Sphere has the power to shine its light on everything around it. This is the reason Tamers and Hunters exist in the first place, but it's also the reason monsters appear all over the world. Most of these are untameable anomalies that must be destroyed, but others carry enough of the Sphere's personality to be loyal to it. Other times, the Sphere's light is strong enough to convert wild monsters into loyal monsters (often after battling it into submission first, but not always). These are the Soldiers, destined to slay the Queens and Kings that appear to threaten their creators. They don't have the powers of the royal caste, but they are strong in their own right. - Each soldier has 10 points to be spent on its attributes and abilities. Treat it as a monster. Every soldier gains 1 point for every 10 points their master possesses. Soldiers CANNOT gain points via battling or sphere absorption. NOTE: This is used to represent your "secondary" monsters, which are numerous but weaker in comparison than your "primary" monster. It can also be used to represent monsters you "capture" or "tame" in the course of your adventures. NOTE: Soldiers may not buy this ability. NOTE: Soldiers can be upgraded to Support for the normal cost. This is the ONLY ability that can be upgraded. ---------------------------------------------------------------- * SUPER ATTACK - COST: 3 Points per monster in the team - CAN TEAM BE CHANGED?: Yes. (Team members do NOT have to possess this ability.) - Some monsters can execute an attack of great power when they work together. This ability is basically a new kind of attack that a team of monsters can use. All the monsters on the team must agree to use the SUPER ATTACK, otherwise it will not work. The primary attacker (the one who determines the base strength of the attack) must be the one who has bought this ability. The monsters providing the boost cannot perform any other action. - Treat as a STRONG ATTACK, but damage is multiplied by number of monsters in team. ---------------------------------------------------------------- * SUPPORT (3 points per level) (PASSIVE) - Everyone needs help occasionally, and almost all fighters attack with friends at their side. The support is decided at the time this ability is bought, and can be whatever the player wants. - POINTS of Support is always a percentage of its master's points. The percentage depends on what level the ability is purchased at. They are like normal monsters or hunters except that they can't gain power from points earned by battles or story posts (they can still absorb Spheres however). Sphere Marks earned by the Support automatically go to its master! Since Tamers don't get Sphere Marks, this ability must be purchased by the Tamer's primary monster. NOTE: A Sphere Mark rating of "N/A" counts as "0" for purposes of Fusion, breeding, and similar scenarios. Check with a moderator if a question arises about the N/A rating in relation to a certain ability. NOTE: Always round up. Also, rather than increase a Support by one level, you can instead gain another support that starts at Level 1. (So 6 points of Support can be one companion at Level 2, or two at Level 1) - LEVEL 1: 40% (Support's points are equal to 2/5 of master's points) - LEVEL 2: 50% (...equal to 1/2) - LEVEL 3: 60% (...equal to 3/5) - LEVEL 4: 70% (...equal to 7/10) ...and so on. NOTE: Support Monsters may not buy this ability. ---------------------------------------------------------------- * TAG TEAM - COST: 1 Point per monster in the team - CAN TEAM BE CHANGED?: No. - In some monster animes, such as Monster Rancher, the team of monsters can perform a devastating special attack in which all of them gain strength from the others to build on their own power. Even the weakest link becomes a devastating foe. - Add the ATTACK of each monster in team. Each monster's ATTACK is replaced by the new number, if they're in the same battle.
