1/2 pt. strong tea
Preheat oven (middle shelf gas) at 350 degrees.
Use 2 pound loaf tin. Mix tea, fruit and sugar in
bowl and leave overnight.
1 lb. mixed dried fruit
6 oz. brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 oz. margarine, melted
9 oz. plain flour
1/2 level tsp. bread soda (baking soda)
Mix in beaten egg and melted margarine.
Fold in flour and bread soda. Place in greased tin (lined).
Bake for 1 1/2 hours approximately. Leave for 10 minutes in tin
after cooking, turn out. Soak fruit the night before.
