2 lbs beef cubes (or lamb)
6 lg. potatoes
1 small can of stewed tomatoes
8 med. carrots
4 med. onions
1 bag frozen green beans
1 large bay leaf
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup flour
salt & pepper to taste
Coat beef with flour, salt & pepper (I use a bag to dredge it all in!) and brown in oil in a large pot,(I use a HEAVY roasting pan).
Now, wash, peel and slice all of the vegetables. Add the vegetables and simmer until the vegetables are cooked.
Throw green beans, seasonings and the rest of the mixture in the oven, about 350 degrees, and bake for at least 2-4 hours. The gravy will thicken and is best sopped up with fresh warm bread:)
