Italian Macaroons
1 pound macaroon paste
7 ounces granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon vanilla flavor
1 ounce bread flower
4 ounces egg whites (add a little at any time)
Keep dough on the firm side
Put dough on parchment paper, about the size
of a half-dollar. Flatten out with damp cloth.
Top with *anything you like (almond slices, coconut,
pignoli (pine nuts), colored sugar, colored sprinkles.
Bake cookies at 350 degrees for approx. 11-14 minutes.
*Anchovies and olives don't sound like a good idea
...but hey...who knows?
