Official Shoulder To Cry On by Ryan Stanberry and Ashley Ewing

Everybody seems to have a problem tonight
Im the official shoulder to cry on
I dont mind
I like being a friend

Its just sometimes Im amazed
At how people can force themselves
Into situations
Forseeing unhappiness.

(Pre Chorus)
Why say something that you dont mean?
Why hold onto what you know isnt right for you?
That you can feel in your heart is a mistake and untrue?

(Chorus)
Tonight, Im the official shoulder to cry on
Incidents, mistakes, situations all come down as tears
Im getting soaked now
Im the official shoulder to cry on.

I suppose Im sort of a hypocrite
Realized tonight that Ive been lying to myself as I see fit
I guess I take things to seriously
Expecting too much from people and myself hourly

(Bridge)
The fact is Im unhappy with who I am
Not perfect, have flaws which makes me who I am
Always room to improve
Sometimes your pieces dont fit together
Unless the edges are a little jagged to move.

(Pre Chorus)
(Chorus)

(Outro)
Tonight
Im the official shoulder to cry on
Goodnight, leaving now, nobody stays
Good talking to you as always.
"Official Shoulder to Cry On" lyrics were actually written for the most part by a really good friend in Florida, Ashley Ewing, of whom didn't even know she wrote them. I was having a conversation with her one night that she was having a rough week and she told me she just finished posting a blog about it. I went to read  it and the title of that particular blog was "Official Shoulder To Cry On". I told her that sounded like a song name. I read the body of the blog and it sounded like it could be turned into a song easily. I went through and songified it by tweaking it here and there but keeping the general message and ended it with something that she always says to me online before signing off. "Good talking to you as always". I've performed this song twice to date  and a few have come up with their ezperiences in life relating quite a bit to it.
