Hilary Kate and Life

By Ryan Stanberry

Hilary
A girl that I know
Secrets I tend to share with her,
Things that I must show.

And she
Listens to me all the time,
From whining about technology
To the deep stuff in my mind.

(Chorus)
So when you get lost in the woods
Cuz I know that you could
When youre trapt in a hollow lie
Call me and Ill come down your way
And repeat your goddess name
Hilary Kate

Questions I have on life
Only late at night online
Dont use big words
I forget them all the time

Far off and lost in my thoughts
Confused and lying down
You find me anyway
Now all is safe and sound

(Bridge)
Time to return and say
Even if Im far away
Whether or not its such a good day
This is where I may tell her now
This song was inspired by a real good friend named Hilary. Quite plainly as the lyrics put it, she has been someone to share  thoughts with and listen to on her thoughts on life. Alot of the song is actually personalized to inside things that only a few know about. The whole song contains phrases that only Hilary would use, ("trapt in a hollow lie"),  and things that she has done or stated. The first line of the chorus, "So when you get lost in the woods cuz I know that you could", refers when she ventured off of a nature  trail with some friends and couldn't find her way back so she called me so I could come find her if she didn't find her way back herself pretty soon hence "call me  and I'll come down your way..." The overall purpose of the song is kind've a tacky but warm thank you to a good friend.
