| Im currently working on the material for this page....there is so much information out there, trying to condense it all into one page is proving my difficult than I thought :( But soon ill have info on how exactly to weightlift and how to do aerobic exericse correctly. Ill also tell you why you should completely ignore "Muscle" magazines, many trainers, 99% of supplements, and all those exercise gadgets that are advertised on T.V. For now ill just list the most important concepts of exercise I can think of off the top of my head, and some great websites that have much more info than I do and can help you get started in the right direction :) |

| Top 10 Rules to follow | ||||||||||||||
| 1. Do not weightlift more than 45 minutes a day, 3-4 times a week. Anything more than is a step backwards, not foreward. 2. Keep a journal of what you do. If you lift in an unplanned and unfocused manner, it will be very hard to improve. 3. If you really want to change your body, you must workout intensely - you have to take yourself to the brink....if you lift half-ass without effort you are wasting your time. 4. Do not lift more weight than you can handle....guys are notorious for this....its much better lifting smaller weights with perfect form than trying to lift gigantic weights by breaking form...your not impressing anyone. 5. If your not eating enough, you will go nowhere, whether you want to gain muscle or lose weight. In order to burn fuel, you have to have fuel (food.) If you try to starve yourself to lose weight your body will bring your metabolism to a halt, burn off your muscle, and make you feel miserable. 6. When doing aerobics, do them intensely! You will burn much more fat and become fitter by busting your ass for 20 minutes instead of doing low-intensity aerobics for hours. 7. Set goals for yourself.....for example, if you want bigger arms and can curl 30 pound dumbells for 10 reps, make a goal of being able to lift 40 pound dumbells for 10 reps. By setting goals, you become more focused, and when you reach that goal it will be a huge boost to your confidence ! 8. Stay patient and consistent. I know so many people that are very well intentioned but if they do not see huge results in a few weeks they give up. Weightlifting is a slow process, just stick with it and results will come. 9. Take a break every so often. If you have been lifting for more than 10 weeks straight, its time for a break. Take a week off, let your body recover, relax, enjoy the time off :) 10. Do not try to become like anyone you see in a muscle magazine. If you do, you are setting yourself up for dissapointment, as 99% of those pictured in the magazines have acheived their physiques through the countless chemicals, steroids, and pills they have abused their bodies with. When you lift, you should do so to try to improve yourself. I want to take the credit for my success, not some stupid pill. |
