| We all saw the big media blitz about the Disney movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, but did you know it was a book first? (As an afterthought, the movie stunk. Save your time and money, and don't see it) The movie was fairly accurate in portraying the book, but it left out crucial parts. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen is about a teen named Mary Elizabeth, who wishes her name was Lola, and convinces everyone but her family to call her that. She's forced to move to Dellwood (Deadwood), New Jersey from New York City. The dullness of this tiny town is the bain of her existence. So, she decides to make some excitement of her own. After her favorite band, Sidhartha, breaks up, she schemes to go to their last concert together in New York City, without parental permission or supervision, and also go to the concert after-show party, AND meet the band's frontman. Read this book. You won't be disappointed. |
