Greg has been etching on Granite Monuments and Memorials since 1990. All monument dealers, granite manufacturers, funeral homes, and those in need of memorialization are encouraged to contact him for their etching needs. Greg is NOT tied to one dealer, one granite, one supplier or even one area. Greg works under the roof of Kansas Granite Industries in Ellis Kansas, but is free to work elsewhere, and for any customer he desires (this is not always true for all granite artists). He can travel to work at your location or you may ship the granite to him.
Any scene, portrait, animal, tractor, truck... well, ANYTHING you desire can be etched on your Granite memorial. Black Granite is the only color that will accept diamond etchings, and there are a range of black granites available.
The etchings will last forever, despite what I understand some monument dealers may have told you. The diamond bits used scores and scratches the granite's polished surface, bringing out a shading technique that will show up as long as the granite surface is polished, and I've seen 75 to 100 year old monuments still shining like the day they were set. Most dealers who tell you that etchings won't last simply don't have a good diamond etching artist, and therefore are trying not to sell you one. Please view my page labeled Etching Warnings.
If you are a firsthand monument customer, and your local monument dealer does not have access to a good diamond etcher, please give them this website addy, and have them contact me. You can still shop locally, and have a good etching.
Samples of Monument works are all under the Granite Etchings link on the homepage. |
