We have two choices:
Rent or buy.
How do we choose?
How do we know
Know if we are
Only renting
What we think we’ve bought?
Or have we really bought
What we think we’ve rented?
What about love?
They say you can’t buy it,
But is love really free?
Or is there some kind of
Price tag attached to it?
Can we rent love?
If love is supposed to be free,
Then what is the point of
Taking and giving; sharing.
We share money
Like it’s something we can get every day.
But what about love?
Can we share love
Like it’s something we can get every day?
Can we buy love like we buy a house or car,
Or can we rent it?
Is love for keeps?
They say if you lose something and it comes back,
It’s yours
But is it really?
When we finally find our one and only true love,
Do we just stop, and does it all end?
Or is it just the beginning of a
Long lifetime rollercoaster ride?
Lots of people say that when
They met their lifelong partner,
Then was when their lives
Began.
But doesn’t it really begin
The moment of conception?
When the first seed of life is first planted
Inside the warm, loving arms
Of the womb where we are carried,
Fed and loved by two people
We know not until we breathe
Our first breath of air…
Life moves so quickly
We buy, rent and share what we know,
While learning and taking what we don’t.
But all the while we live,
We are constantly hit
With this one question:
Do we buy or do we rent?
Rent or buy, buy or rent?
The choice is up to you.
