The visit to the community of Huaripampa

Visiting Huaripampa
The next community we visited was Huaripampa, on Sunday morning. When we arrived, the community leaders were not ready to have the meeting yet. Well, no problemo! The sun was shining and there was enough to see while we were waiting.
There were alpaca's, for example, welcoming us to Huaripampa. Actually they were quite sad because of their brother, who was killed for our Pachamanca feast... Poor things
An alpaca was just killed for our meat... here they are taking off its skin.
At the background the alpacas are looking at their dead fellow... "Tommy!!! Tommy!!!!" hahahaha
Whoever has the guts and/ or is interested in alpaca anatomy, should click on this picture in order to enlarge it...
This is Tammy folks! Enjoying the sun.

Now who's the cutest???
Antonio Marceliano on the left. He is the general manager of the "Comisión Pro-Conservación San Marcos", a partner of The Mountain Institute who works a lot with communities in the area of influence of the mine. And he's a good friend of mine!
These kids were looking at us, and we at them.......
