| Band: Cinerama Label: Scopitones Album Releases: Va Va Voom (1998) Disco Volante (2000) This Is Cinerama (2000) John Peel Sessions (2001) Cinerama feature ex-Wedding Present singer David Gedge, the music is different, but the brilliance is still there. This is good old fashioned pop music, with strings, organs, percussion and all that jazz, Cinerama are clearly going to win much adoration among indie-pop lovers. Recently they've slowed things down a pace it seems, to a slightly 'sadder' sound. Not that it's put anyone off. This Is Cinerama explores their first few EP's tracks and is a great example of what Cinerama are all about, an essential purpose, purely for the genius of tracks such as 'Kerry Kerry' and 'Dance Girl Dance'. Shame about the awful cover of The Smiths 'London', with Emma Pollock of The Delgados on vocals. Oh well, can't win them all. If you like this you'll also like...
