| Band: Badly Drawn Boy Label: Twisted Nerve Albums Releases: The Hour Of The Bewilderbeast He is possibly the World's ugliest man who wears stupid hats, but Damon Gough showed he is capable of producing great melodic pop songs. His debut album won him the Mercury Music Award, deservedly so. The perfectly whimsical songs are wonderful on a Winter morning, from the uptempo 'Once Around The Block' to the dream like 'The Shining' they all ooze quality. With a good sense of humour in his lyrics and also the ability to get your foot tapping, his album should be an essential purchase. However, his post-Bewilderbeast work has been disappointing really, I hope to see him improve, as long as I don't actually have to see him. If you like this, you'll also like...
