| Band: Astrid Label: Fantastic Plastic Album Releases: Strange Weather Lately (1999) Play Dead (2001) Scottish Indie outfit Astrid have supported Belle & Sebastian on tour, which instantly gives them credibility, however, they deserved it anyway. They churn out good quality pop songs, reminiscent of the Brit-Pop era. With their harmless tunes they are easy to enjoy, but the fault is obvious, they have the lyrical ability of The Stereophonics, which is not good news. You'll like them at first, but the charm easily wears off and they'll soon be gathering dust in your CD rack. Both albums are quite similar, so if you enjoy one you should go out and purchase the other. You can't dislike Astrid too much, but you won't love them either. If you like this, you'll also like...
