| Band: The Aislers Set Label: Fortuna Pop Album Releases: Terrible Things Happen (1998) The Last Match (2001) Both of the American bands albums show they produce a brilliant standard of classic pop. The majority of their work is upbeat but there is a good variation of sound throughout their work. You have the wonderfully cosy Christmas song 'The Snow Don't Fall' and also the fantastically retro 'Been Hiding' showing both ends of The Aislers Set's music spectrum. Amy Linton didn't manage to pull off 'Terrible Things Happen' very well, there were too many 'dull' tunes thrown in that shouldn't have been there, but on the other hand 'The Last Match' corrects this and will have you dancing like a fool in your bedroom. The Aislers Set are terribly under-rated, but at the time of print, they are soon to embark on tour with fellow pop darlings Belle & Sebastian for a brief period.
