| An argentine classic: Political campaigns go for the effectist punchline instead of stating their political intentions. This fact has several possible readings, I think. First, that because of society's attitude and judicial impotence, all that matters is getting the vote, get into the government, make a profit and rest easy for the remainder of your life. Also, the current frustration of the voting poulation makes this kind of proposition highly attractive means to capture votes from the population that planned to forfeit their vote. Still, the lame polititians are not the problem, they are more like the symptom of the lack of education. They help keep it that way though. Education is also very corrupt in terms of budget administration etc. Have a nice day. |
