LEFT - Georgi Revazishvili (white) in action on his way to winning Bronze medal in 1999 World Championships, in Birmingham, England. In the action shot above (in the middle of the picture next to the clock display) is the Georgian coach. This is great Shota Khabareli, 1980 Olympic champion -78kg in Moscow, USSR. IJF (International Judo Federation) has named a judo technique after him - Khabareli Pickup that he used so much during his judo career, and that is used so much in modern judo competition, and which is one of my favorite judo techniques.
BOTTOM - Revazishvili is thrown for yuko by J. Pedro - USA at 1999 World Championships in Birmingham, England.
This was Revazishvili's only loss. It was a very tough match, with both opponents going with it all at eachother. This time Jimm Pedro won however, and Revazishvili had to settle for a bronze.
