Misty Doodle May 28, 1994 to July 21, 2003
We keep the fires burning in loving memory of all of those who have past on before us.
Misty loved to play. Her favorite things were wrestling with daddy and fetching the tennis ball or pine cones from the yard. And every time we brushed her, she would prance around like she was the most beautiful animal on earth. But she was part of the family and as such, she hated being called a "dog". In fact, she would pout anytime we called her that. She had personality plus. We had to put her to sleep in order to spare her any further suffering, as she had cancer. She will be sadly missed, but her love for her family will go on in our memories forever.

This was Carla's maternal grandfather who helped raise her. He was a Baptist Preacher and a very well respected man in his community. Everyone that ever knew him, loved him dearly. He was a WWII veteran and retired City Bus Driver. He loved to give all of the grandkids a hard time just for the fun of it as they grew up, as he had a grand sense of humor. But he also knew when to be firm with them all as well, yet they rarely seen him lose his temper. He was a man of compassion and a heart of gold. He will be sadly missed by his entire family that he left behind on this earth, but his love lives on in all of their hearts.
James Ezra Kersey, Sr. 192? - 197?
This was Carla's paternal grandfather. He was a roofer and painter prior to his death in the late 1970's. He enjoyed seeing the family visit on the weekends, showing off the antique cars that he tinkered with, and spoiling the grandkids by giving them cakes and cookies whenever they were at his house. He will be forever missed by all the family and friends that he left behind.
Theodocia Graham Kersey
This was Carla's paternal great grandmother. Her son was James Ezra (shown above). Carla was never around her much, but the stories about her circulated throughout the family often. She was a stubborn lady, but fair. The one thing that stands out about her is that she believed that if God put her on this earth with all her body parts in tact, then that is how she would go out. And she did. Granny Theo past on while enjoying her last vacation in Florida. She too will always be greatly missed by all the family and friends that she left behind.
