Since this review began with a look at Janette it�s only fitting that we should conclude with another look at the show�s resident female vampire entrepreneur. Elegantly coiffed and perched by the bar the contemporary Janette makes her first appearance on Forever Knight. Over two seasons Janette�s wardrobe would go through slight variations, usually ranging from gothic chic to Parisian sophistication, but they were never drastic changes. In Dark Knight she is the epitome of elegance wearing a black off the shoulder dress. Her hair is styled in an up do and she accessorizes with a black choker and black elbow length lace gloves. Janette�s choker would become a wardrobe staple for her that unfortunately was lost during the show�s second season. Her black lace gloves would also make repeat appearances. She finished the look off with a cigarette attached to a long stemmed holder. |

One cannot discuss Janette without also mentioning the Raven since it is very much an extension of who Janette is. The female patrons are all beautiful and as exquisitely dressed as the owner. The bartenders are all formally dressed and wear dark suits over their white dress shirts. The Raven looks like a pretty high class establishment. However, by the third episode of the series the clientele that frequent the Raven will begin to take on a more grungy and punk appearance. Of course at the same time as a fan I view the Raven as a place where both the beautiful people and those who live on society�s fringes can coexist. |

An amusing bit about the set design for the Raven is the extras� use of mini flashlights. Each one of the patrons visible is seen holding one and using it to either provide a bit of light to the space�s dark atmosphere or to catch the attention of new arrivals like Nick when he is stopped by a white haired woman. |
