Osian wakes with a start to see Telarrin standing over him, his hands shaking violently. He doesn't move, but peers at Telarrin, waiting for him to say or do something. The two stare at each other in silence for a moment or two, when footsteps are heard coming up the stairs. Telarrin turns around, and moves away from Osian, and they see Dove and Orchid enter into the room, a pair a worried expressions upon their faces.

"Everything's fine." Osian immediately states. "Ye two needn't worry so much." They obviously aren't convinced, but after a few words Orchid and Dove return to their self-appointed post outside the door the the house.

"Ye're looking quite well, Telarrin. Sleep has done wonders, I see. Nearly ready to leave this place, I'd say." Osian smiles slightly and, receiving no response, continues. "Lay down on the bed again, would ye? A few of those bandages need to be changed." Telarrin nods his head, and does so.

Osian begins tending to Telarrin's wounds carefully removing old bandages, cleaning the cuts, and applying new ones. He has given up on attempting small talk with this man.. it simply has not worked, so he is surprised to hear Telarrin's voice break the silence.

"Those guilds you spoke of? They're the best place for training, right?" Osian chuckles softly to himself. "Aye, they are. Ye can learn much in the guilds, especially once ye've proven yourself to your guild." Telarrin bites his lip, and stares off to one side, obviously thinking. "There's a fighter's guild.. and a mage's guild.. but not one for both of those, correct? I would have to choose one or the other?" Osian nods. "Indeed. Ye must choose which to join. Ye cannae have the best of both."

Osian continues tending to all of Telarrin's injuries, while Telarrin thinks upon this. After a while, another question. "If I were to join the fighter's guild.. I couldn't learn spells, right? And if I joined the mage's guild, I wouldn't be able to train with a sword?" "Well, not in your guild. Ye may be able to learn some spells at the Adventurer's Guild, and learn a bit about fighting from other fighters, but ye could nae learn both in one guild." Telarrin frowns. "You divide your knowledge far too much here. These guilds aren't for me." Osian shrugs his shoulders and continues with his healing.

The remainder of the day passes quickly. Telarrin spends most of his time testing his strength, getting used to walking around and accomplishing simple tasks on his own again, while Osian tends to his wounds and prepares more draughts for him. By evening they are both exhausted, and Osian bids Telarrin farewell, to return to his guild for the night. They agree to meet once more in the morning, when Osian will show Telarrin around the city a bit, and bring him to the Adventurer's Guild.
Once Osian has left, Telarrin curls up in a ball under the blankets in the bed. He closes his eyes, and quickly falls asleep, the thoughts plaguing his mind are nowhere near strong enough to compete with his fatigue.

And then the dream comes...

He is sitting at a table.. at dinner.. a few other people around.. a family.. his family!.. but they aren't who he remembers to be... the lass over there.. long black hair.. blue eyes.. she's beautiful.. she's... she's the one he's marrying!

He smiles.. happy.. content.. all seems to be right.. he eats some food.. it's wonderful.. life is good.. they finish the meal..

He leans back in his chair.. and suddenly there's... there's something there.. he feels it.. inside of him.. starts breathing heavily.. pretends all is well..

He leaps to his feet.. pulls a dagger from his side.. charges towards the lass... kills her quickly.. 'too easy' he thinks.. rushes over to his mother.. slays her as well.. watches his father cower in the corner with fear.. 'defend yourself!' he yells as he attacks.. but father will not attack his son, he is killed....

Telarrin opens his eyes suddenly, and closes them again just as quickly once he realizes all is alright. He sighs softly to himself. That dream was far too real.. I wonder who those people are.. the lass, so familiar.. He sighs again and let's out a small "Hmm" as a thought comes to him. And who was I?

Telarrin shakes his head slightly, decides to ignore the disturbing dream, and returns to his rest.

Osian returns to his room, and collapses onto his bed, exhausted. He slips off his boots, and pulls the covers over him, quickly drifting into sleep.

Osian wakes, tears already beginning to fill his eyes. He's had such a dream many times before, it's plagued him for so long. It hadn't come in nearly a year, but with the return of his figure from his past, Osian's not surprised that it's occurred again.

I must stop worrying myself about this.. it's over now.. Senrania has forgiven me of everything..

With a deep sigh, Osian rolls over and falls asleep again.
