The emperor took this news hard and began to make patrols in the streets, doubleing the guards on duty and set wizards to work on warnings. It was as if we were going to be assulted by an army. None of us knew, None of wanted too. All we could do was wait. Wait for the imminent attack. Waiting was the hard part of the battle, not knowing when your enemy was going to strike. We had all waited a rather long time, And there was no army outside. No news from the seas either. It frightend most of the men, Rumors circulating around that master dident need men. But he used creatures made of shadows and flames, It was all nonesense of course. Not a soul around knew what was going to happen. The dagger slid into the guards back with ease, Turning to help his companion another figure struck out like lightning. Both dead they dragged the bodies into the allyway and dropped them behind some crates. They walked out from the allyway keeping themselves hidden in the shadows, Moveing without a sound. "Several of the patrols havent check in, and no one has even found the bodys as of yet." He slammed his fist onto the table and glass goblets fell onto the floor smashing into small bits. Sin wouldent let go of me, she was scared and she had every right tobe. So she was kept with the servents, That was the last place master would look. The last thing he knew was that his buddy went down in a flash, He drew his sword and was battleing it out with some shadow figure. His blade had no effect it seemed. He cried out several times but to no avail, it seemed like the figures absorbed his words. the shadow figure took one block and swung breaking the guards sword and effectively opening a hole in his stomache, Walking past the dieing guard the figures continued. "Patrols 3,4,And 6 have been found dead M'lord." Saluteing the page quickly found an exit. "Damn it all to hell!" He drew his sword and walked out of the stageing room, He was going to make an attempt to stop this thing, Whatever it was. He made his way to the dineing room, he had the room cleared and the patrols rereouted to this room. Waiting is one thing he learned, he could sit in a corner for 3 weeks and not budge or make a sound. He saw them and he knew what they were, They were just like him. Only stronger, he could feel their aura before they even entered the room. their eyes were like ice, It froze his heart and he couldent breathe. He took a breath and held out his sword breaking their icy gaze. One of them had stepped up and made a challenge to him, or it looked like it. As it was he wasent the one to put down a challenge. He charged and they clashed weapons his sword glowing a bright blue. he dashed back and swung his sword downwards aiming at the shadow figure and a large beam of energy flew out towards the figure strikeing it full, Sending it into a wall a large indention of its figure in the stone. It looked back up at him and stood up straight, it stood aside and let the other figure come towards him. His sword lost its bright blue glow, it was now a dim blue. Block, Counter, Thrust and dodge. Simple moves, But in the right hands they could save a mans life. And it seemed like they were fighting forever, a crowd was drawing near the door. The shadow showed no indication of letting up and luny was getting a laugh from this. "Im postive master built you guys better then this." He lashed out and sliced off its arm its sword clanging to the ground. he kicked the arm aside takeing ahold of the sword, "If master built you two he is seriously mistaken on my skills." the figuires huddle in a corner, they turned faced luny. I dont know what happend nexted but whatever happend it wasn�t pleasent. the next thing i knew was that there was a hulking figure before him. "HOLY S-" the figure swung at him before he could finish |
