FLEET HISTORY - Historical Overview

2400 - The Guardian Fleet was formed in 2400.  It was placed in the Draygo System, in the Alpha Quadrant. The Fleet was assigned to the then Fleet Admiral Kenneth Allen.  The fleet's mission included further exploration of the Alpha Quadrant,and protecting the Federation against hostile races.  

2404 – Fleet Captain Jesse Wyatt replaced Fleet Admiral Allen as the Fleet's Commanding Officer.

2406 - The fleet's mission remained the same. To protect the Federation from anything that may dare attack.  In May of that year protecting the Federation came to the forefront when a large Foxfire Fleet attempted to take control of Deep Space 211 and the Draygo system. Due to the brave actions of the USS Sierra and her crew, the Foxfire fleet was driven away and peace once again returned to the Federation.

2408 - With Starfleet Intelligence reporting of a move to overthrow the Romulan Star Empire by a Reman, Emperor Shinzon, was starting to unfold and the USS Enterprise-E severely crippled in Romulan Space as well as a new type of starship, The Scimitar, created by Shinzon on the planet of Remus.

Starfleet Command ordered the USS Sierra to the Romulan Sector to assist the Enterprise with getting the situation controlled.  However upon entering the system, the Sierra came under fire from the Scimitar and was destroyed.  All crewmembers were able to escape, except the Executive Officer and was picked up by a Romulan ship. Amnesty has been offered, and in light of the noble actions of the Federation during the brief reign of Emperor Shinzon, Romulan Liason officers are being allowed aboard Guardian Fleet vessels, to allow Romulans and the Federation an opportunity to build closer ties together.

Guardian Fleet was given a new ship, the USS Edmund Fitzgerald.

2410 - Due to unexpected departure of Fleet Captain Wyatt, custody of the Fleet is given to Fleet Captain Richard Jacobs.  The fleet's headquarters is transferred to a central command base, Draygo IV, which features a complete Military Base, as well as academy facilities for advanced students.
