Thursday was one of THE BEST day of the trip. We were up and out of the house by 4am to head back over to NBC studios to wait in line for tickets to the tonight show! Why the hell would we get up so early? Well two words...MATTHEW PERRY! He was the guest that day and this was a once in a life time chance to acutally get to see Mr. Chandler Bing in person. So after getting there around 4:20 or so we got on line. There were already a couple people in front of us. By about 5:30 the line already wrapped around the building. It was insane. Around 8:00 they let us in to get our tickets. We got our tickets and then did a quick bathroom break. Right after that we walked over to the place were you line up for seats, crazily enough, there were ALREADY people in line. The show doesn't let you in until about 4:00pm. So we of course jumped into line and were numbers 19 and 20 in line. You see, with The Tonight Show you aren't guaranteed seats so you have to wait in line to get your spot. So that is what we did. We were still in our PJ's so Mr and Mrs. Anderson went and got us our clothes.
Waiting in line wasn't that bad We met some cool people and had lots of fun. One person we got to meet was Jana, she was really nice and was acutally a creator of one of the websites we go to a lot. So that was cool. Hi Jana! We ate in line, tried to nap in line, took turns walking around, and did this all until around 3:45 or so when they let us inside. So in total we were on line for about 12 hours!!! But man was it worth it!!!
Because we were so close to the front of the line we got to sit on the floor seats! We were literally about 20 feet from the stage and Jay Leno!!! We were so happy. Around 4:15 Jay came out and did a little comedy act. People got their pictures with him, it was really fun. We coudln't believe we were there! Then the time came for the show to begin!!!
We were so happy! We got to go up and shake Jays hand, Nicole got to shake it but Alaina was to short and got pushed out of the way. BUT we were both on TV if you get a chance to see it sometime LoL During the monolgue we totally had Matthew Perry on the brain. He was there, in that building and soon, on the stage!! It took a lot for Alaina to keep from screaming, and a couple prep talks from Nicole. But the Monalgue was funny and then..AHH it came time!!! "From the hit TV show Friends....Matthew Perry!" When he came out everyone was on their feet clapping and screaming. Especially us! He was really there! Right infront of us. It was so sureal. It felt like a dream. He was SO hot. Really skinny, tan, and tall. TV does not do this man justice! LOL His interview was so funny and he seems like such a nice guy. During one of the breaks he was waving to the stands, then Alaina being her, did this half ass wave to him, and he waved back!!! It was so sureal. The whole show was just amazing. The interview was just so great. At the end of the whole show after taping was over Matthew went to the middle-edge of the stage and Thanked Everyone for being there and clapped. It was so sweet. It was just the best day. It didn't feel real. To this day we don't believe it acutally happened. We do have it on tape if anyone is intersted in seeing the interview. It was definalty a great one. |
