1. Come with a smile.  ALWAYS have expression when you are spinning!  Don't stand and spin with a bored expression, that will not show favor on you.

2. PAY ATTENTION!  No matter what, pay attention to the instructors/captains.  NEVER talk to others when you're not supposed to- save that for the water breaks.

3. If those in charge ask you to do something, do it without hesitation and do it with a smile!

4. If you don't understand something ask for help!  If you can ask someone in charge or an old member.  Don't pretend to know something you don't.  If you ask they will be more impressed then if you try to 'fudge' it.  If you really don't understand a large part of the work or you don't want to take away time from practice, ask if one of the old members or the captain could stay after and give you some extra help.  This will show them that you care and you want to do this.

5. Don't goof off during practice!! This is very important- this takes away from practice time and gets on the leaders nerves. Even if you aren't the only one joking aroud it doesn't matter- they don't like it.

6. When spinning have good posture- this makes you look taller and it makes your work look better.  Also keep your chin up and your shoulders back.

7. If you are sitting down and the instructors/captain is talking to you about important aspects (the try-out or other things), take notes if possible.  This will show them that you are determined not to miss a thing.

8. AWAYS GIVE IT YOU'RE ALL- don't hold back on any work.  Even if you feel stupid you will look good.

Do you have any tips for try-outs that I forgot or you found out?  Please let me know by clicking on the picture below:
