Journal #2 WWI military training camps : Mustard Gas: Mustard gas was created by the German Army in September 1917.The most lethal of all the poisonous chemicals used during the war, it was almost odourless and took twelve hours to take effect. The skin of victims of mustard gas blistered, the eyes became very sore and they began to vomit. Mustard gas caused internal and external bleeding and attacked the bronchial tubes, stripping off the mucous membrane. Journal #3: On the internet, briefly research life inside the trenches; evaluate what type of life these soldiers lived. The type of life that the had it was really had for them because the had tobe in this little trenches that were very hard to breath or move. There was alot of suffering, alot of people was in the trenches. There was more than 20 people in the trenches that was all in one place. They keep come down and not move. Their life was really hard there was a irony for this " they dig there trenches to survive but at the same time you die" Journal #4: Describe the circumstance in a film or book you are familiar with in which a frightening or unpleasant situation made a character feel closer to a friend. Finding Nemo it was story that Marlin and Dory didn't get along each other they were fighting every minute but at the end they get a long very easily because of nemo they came together they had love each other at the end and lived very happily. Journal #5: Find information on the Internet that discusses prison camps during WWI. Describe the conditions of the camps. Use freighting, telescoping, and splitting the second strategies so that you "show," not "tell." (My homage to Mrs. Don't Eat-the-paste of your 5th grade experience.) |
