Today, January 02, 2002, Charles is preparing to move back to Philly from L.A., Benny is banking in New York and is engaged to marry Nancy in May, Hans is in Law School, Jason is in Grad School, Nancy is a paralegal in Philly and is busily planning her wedding, Karyn is in her last year of Physical Therapy School and is now Mrs. Christopher Lee, and Jin has quietly slipped out of the picture since her break-up with Jason shortly after the senior formal. I am now one year, eight months and twenty-nine days from my EAOS (end of active duty obligated service) date with still no clear conviction as to whether or not I want to go to Grad School or enter the Foreign Service upon my detachment from military service. One thing has become clear to me, though: I believe I am convinced, at this point in my life, that I would rather stay single until God-knows-when than walk down the aisle toward a man for whom I have merely "settled." It's "bosom buddy" or "bust!" Or so I opine at this moment in my life. In the meantime, I have learned how to replace the burnt-out bulbs of my 1987 Toyota Corolla's headlights and rear lights and am feeling quite proud of my newly acquired skills.
