This is a 1984 Nissan 300ZX 50th anniversary edition, bought for
$380. The previous owner said it had a dropped valve in
cyl#2. He said he was driving it around, and it suddenly started making
weird noises and immediately cut it off. I took the timing belt
cover off, and found the belt tensioner bearing had blown up.
Ball bearings were everywhere. I put a new timing belt and
tensioner bearing on it, and it ran like new. I ended up selling
it to clear some room in the driveway, but it was a good experience.
