GTS EXTERMINATORS & FUMIGATORS (HISTORY / PROFILE) After several years of field exposure to Pest Control operations in the biggest and most respected Pest Control Company in the Gulf Region, a group of FPA Certified Pesticide Apllicators harnessed their skills to form Garfin Trading & Services {GTS}. With a humble beginning, and armed with a vision to provide its clients with quality service and pest control products, GTS was officially registered on November of 1996. Starting with only two service personnel for a few residential clients, the team was able to deliver the requirements, train additional personnel, and disseminate necessary technical information. On its first anniversary, GTS recorded an impressive growth, trained and developed a total of six new pest control technicians, and with the coming of a new batch of trainees, the slogan " Tell the pest, GTS will do the rest " was born. 1998 saw GTS slowly making its presence felt in the pest control market. In the final period of the first quarter, GTS made its way to its biggest project - the entire Manila Fleet of WG&A Philippines. The magnitude of the requirement had the whole GTS Team focused on it, that by the third quarter, efforts were initiated to make it an independent operation with the full support of GTS technical personnel. Completing its third year, GTS was able to train and develop twenty-three new pest control technicians. And as the fourth year started, GTS continued to train and develop more skilled personnel as its humble contribution to economic movement. Year 2001 was an overwhelming turnaround that marked GTS's expansion, adding a new and very challenging category in the pest control field - TECHNICAL FUMIGATION. This change has prompted us to make moves in developing the IDENTITY of the group, thus registering the name GTS EXTERMINATORS & FUMIGATORS, beginning 2002. 2004 was another milestone for GTS Operations, now including the latest Termite Baiting SYstem in the U.S. and Australia in its line of services giving a clearer definition to service dedication thru modernization. In recognition of its efforts, GTS was supported by ECMI, a branch of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, dedicated to direct returning Overseas Filipino Workers back into the streamline of our society. Now focused on market expansion, developmental training and service improvement, its commitment strengthens and its foundations becoming stable within its market foothold.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The GTS Pest Control Program Deep understanding and knowledge in biology and bionomics of tropical urban and structural pests, supported by government regulations and other authoritative institutions, GTS adopts only the most practical, economical, cost � effective, and time � tested approach parallel to each case. ** THE SURVEY AND INSPECTION The best way to identify a specific pest problem is by ocular inspection. GTS conducts surveys / inspections and provides cost estimates upon client�s request. GTS Team then advises proper treatment or recommendation needed to rectify the situation at hand and to prevent further damage to property or pest reinfestations within a specific locality. ** TERMITE PREVENTIVE MEASURES This is administered before termite infestations are noted or observed. Procedures involve pre and post construction measures that flow with the building construction progress. At a standard rate, termiticide solutions are applied directly on the compacted soil either by coarse spray or injection method. When structures are already erected or within the final stages of constructions, drilling and injection method, or wood preservative applications can still administer preventive treatments. GTS also conducts termite � monitoring services as a pr-active step against termite sever termite damage. ** TERMITE CORRECTIVE MEASURES Remedial / corrective treatments are carried � out by GTS Team on termite infested structures to prevent further damage to the property. This procedure oftentimes require the use of dry (powder) formulations, and the drilling / injection approach. Regular abatement maintenance programs are advised after the general treatment and termite mounds are demolished to immediately destabilize the colony. A new and modern treatment approach / technique : the non-poisonous termite baiting system has now been considered by GTS Team starting last quarter of 2004. ** PEST MANAGEMENT PROGRAM Non � structural pests (or Domestic Pests) can be minimized by practicing good sanitation coupled with a correct pest maintenance program. These time � framed programs are designed to safely and effectively control unwanted insects within tolerable population levels. Frequency of visits / services shall be dependent on the situation requirements, and the degree of infestation within the locality. The success of this program is defined by the close cooperation of the client and GTS. ** RODENT CONTROL Good housekeeping practice combined with systemic rodent control approach is proven effective against most rodent species. Rodents are considered the �nightmare� of urban living. These pests are known to be the smart and very adaptive to its environment, and can be practically controlled by outsmarting them. Periodic observations are carried � out to facilitate baiting and safely control them within a considerable period of time. ** CONTROL OF FLYING INSECTS Flies, mosquitoes, and other flying insect pests are controlled depending on the geographical situation or the structural design of the area subject to treatment. Favorable results on most flying insect control measures outdoors are oftentimes temporary, considering their excellent mobility and wide area coverage. Careful considerations on the situational availability of the site are needed to justify other control procedures like larviciding and paste baiting to control mosquito and fly seasonal outburst. Space treatments (fogging / misting) can be carried � out by GTS Team whenever the need for such control measures arises. ** TECHNICAL FUMIGATION Technical Fumigation is the process wherein a highly poisonous gas is released within an enclosure. Stored commodities and long term food stocks normally require this type of treatment to eradicate storage pests. Stored products pests highly contribute to economic and nutritional loss of the infested food product. This process sometimes requires a complete shutdown of operations for safety reasons. |
