| It all started one day when a Standard GTS25t was driving around (quite slowly) with so much potential, but didn't know it. After already having a 3" exhaust; GReady profec B; AVO BOV; K&N Air filter and Autometer Boost guage fitted, the Lion (skyline) was only doing a 15 sec pass. Until Mick from Sub-Zero approached me and ask me if I'd like to go faster. After less than 5 mins playing with the car it ran a 13.4 @ 108mph. With this, I had Mick do a few other mods for me, they include:- Forged Pistons; Turbonetics 60-1 Turbo; Microtech Computer; Custom Exhaust Manifold, Intercooler, Plenium, Intercooler Piping, and Exhaust (3.5"); Custom Fuel rail, catch can, surge tank and polishing. Micks dad Ivan even made the BOV and Wastegate in house. Basically Everything you see that has been modified was done in house at Sub-Zero Performance. The car now uses a RaceMatic transmission and this made a huge difference to the power output and drivability. My car is pushing out 412 HP on the dyno, on 28 psi running C16 Racing fuel. At Willowbank Raceway it ran a 10.62 second pass at 127mph. We used a 60HP Nitrus kit fitted directly in front of the throttle body to give it a squirt just to bring the revs up on the line. This helped produce a 1.6 60ft, along with the fact we were using M/T Street Slicks. |
