The George T. Jones Historic Bed & Breakfast Home
Granville, Ohio
The George T. Jones House is a stately two-story Victorian home on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the finest examples of 19th Century residential architecture in the region. The 12-room house was built in 1861 by a prominent local merchant, George T. Jones, as a wedding present for his bride, Belle. Three generations of the Jones family lived here.

The home features ornate wall coverings, period carpets, decorative high ceilings, brass chandeliers, and beautiful antiques.  Beneath the Victorian appearance the entire home has modern plumbing and electrical service, heating and air conditioning, and smoke detectors. Each of our three guest rooms has a comfortable double bed and a private bath. One of the three rooms is on the first floor and has a queen bed. No cots or twin beds are available, and a third person in the room is not permitted for safety reasons.

Beverages and snacks are available to our guests at all times at no additional cost. Our buffet breakfast, also included in the price, is described in one of the guidebooks as "elaborately continental." It is served on antique glass dishes, with silver, crystal, linen, and lace place settings. The menu includes juices, fresh fruit, a selection of cereals, mouth-watering homemade bread, hot muffins, and delicious pastries. Vegetarian, low-salt, low-fat, kosher, and other special dietary needs can be accommodated; please ask in advance.

The rate is $110.00 per room per night (for one or two persons). A reservation deposit with advance payment in full is required; we do not accept walk-ins.  Our refund policy is: 100% refund with more than 7 days' advance notice, 50% with only 2-7 days' advance notice, and no refund after that. Please note that we do not accept credit cards. Insurance regulations prohibit more than two people per room.

We are very easy to find. We are in a safe
neighborhood, one block from the downtown area and three blocks from Denison's campus. Parking is easy. No smoking, no pets, and no small children, please. We welcome you!.
