Things You Can Do To Help
*If you find a turtle in the road move it across the road, away from
the road in the same direction it was traveling.
*If you find a turtle in your yard, leave it. You can buy or adopt pet
turtles online or in a pet shop.
*Check your yard for turtles before mowing or weed eating.
*If you find an injured turtle, perhaps try to help it. You can call me
and I’ll find you a place where you can get help.
*Talk to your children; tell them why it is important not to bring a
wild turtle home as a pet.
*Never release pet turtles into the wild; they can die and even disrupt
other turtle populations in the wild.
*If you have a pet turtle you don’t want, find an owner. I can help with that as well.
