Now days? That's a fuckin joke. Honor: This concept died out along with the 1990s. No one has any honor anymore. It's pointless. Might as well take it right out of the dictionary. The thought of helping someone in need is completely foreign now days, unless, of course, it buys you good publicity. Staying true to ones word? Don't make me laugh. When's the last time someone said something to you and actually did it? Loyalty: That's a joke. The new millennium is nothing but a bunch of greedy bastards out for number one. The thought of staying true to your family and friends is in the past. Fact is, you can't depend on anyone anymore. I can name maybe 4 to 5 trust worthy people I know not counting my parents. Two of which are cousins. Loyalty in the "good ole" 2008 just ain't there. Only thing that's loyal now is your pet dog, and even he'll bite you in the ass if given the opportunity. Respect: Common courtesy's kind of alive. People will hold the door open for you at the store, they'll give you directions to your hotel etc. I'll give that. But I'm talking about hardcore respect. I'm talking about people respecting another man's beliefs. It just doesn't happen anymore. You state your opinion and if it differs from the majority, you get jumped all over. If you don't think like how everyone else thinks you're an ass. People don't respect other people anymore. They don't respect government, they don't respect their debts, their commitments. Most of all they don't respect religions. (Yeah yeah yeah. I've heard it all before. Religion=war, I've explained that below, for the record.) there's no feelings for people anymore... No Honor, no loyalty, no respect. ------------------------------ Sept. 16th, 2008: Religion & Today's Society: Well, in my eyes, the world is quickly heading toward hell. No, I'm not talking about politics, oil costs, war, global warming or any of that. I'm talking about religion. People globally are casting aside their beliefs. They abandon the tradition of their ancestors. They lose a part of their history. This is especially evident in todays youth, the so called "future". Well what the fuck kind of future are we in store for? People give up all faith. They believe in nothing. When it comes to their fateful hour, when they are faced with death, either their own or a loved ones, who will they turn to? The God they've forsaken, whether it be the Christian, Muslim, or otherwise version? No, they'll have no one. They'll live in misery with no hope, no faith in anything that can help them but science. If science could've saved them they'd be saved already. They must face the bleak truth, at least in their misinformed eyes, that they are alone. I, for one, would not like to live like this. I can live and die peacefully knowing there is a life beyond the one on Earth. A better one. I can hold faith in knowing that when my loved ones are at death's door they will be saved. Remember, God once flooded the Earth to cleanse the planet of the sinners and heathens that resided on it's surface, Noah's Arc, anyone? And these modern day heathens, the ones that cast aside their history are doomed to a similar fate, but not one of water, but of fire. These people who forget their ways forget their history, the history of the great flood. And as the say, those that forget history are doomed to repeat it. Every religion that answers to a higher power or powers, Christian or otherwise, tells of an end of days. Whether it be Rapture, Ragnar�k, or otherwise, and I fear we are heading toward this end of days. It is foretold in the Holy Bible that the end of days is marked by war consuming the world, great storms, great change in the climate, and the loss of freedom. These are all evident in the modern day. The wars in Iraq, Afghanistan. The threat of global warming, the seemingly endless barrage of hurricanes, growing in strength every year. As corny as it may sound, the Rapture is nigh. The Earth is doomed unless people change their ways. When the end of days comes, if I am unfortunate enough to see it happen in my time, I can take solace in my faith in the Lord God and Jesus Christ our Savior. If you are unlucky enough to see this happen in your lifetime, as well, my question to you is: What will YOU turn to? Science? Science won't save you when it comes to that, my friends. Believe me. ------------------------------ Sept. 16th, 2008 My thoughts on War and Religion: Contrary to most people's opinion, religion is not to blame for wars. It is to blame on the flaws of men themselves. Religions speak of peace and love towards your fellow man, regardless of their beliefs. Men, either use religion as a convenient scapegoat to justify their own greed and power lust, or they have adopted a flawed view on their religion and THINK they're doing the right thing by killing in the name of their God. Man makes the choice, so man is responsible. Religion is printed and spoken word. And last I checked words don't kill. ------------------------------ Closing notes: I'm no preacher. I'm a man stating his opinion. I'm not trying to force my believes down your throat. If you've read my little articles or whatever you wanna call em, you've taken the trouble of going to my profile, where I am free to express myself, by the way. And you know what I am talking about once you start reading, so you could've quit any time you would've liked. I have typed this so those of you who have read this can think about what I've said. Christian or otherwise I hope you take something meaningful away from this.
