Andy's Etch-a-Sketch Gallery
The first laptop.  The best road trip toy.  Best Actor in "Toy Story."  Whatever you want to call it, the infamous Etch-a-Sketch has a place in nearly everybody's life.  Well, I, too, have been captured by this toy marvel.  Though I don't remember when I first discovered the Etch-a-Sketch, in recent years I have spent much time staring down at the red-framed grey glass, doing what I do best:  turning the lil' white knobs.  Some lines here, some curves there, a lil' creativity, and next thing I know, I've got a picture.  For your viewing enjoyment, I have included some of my Etch-a-Sketch pictures here on this website.  If you have any questions or comments, please sign my guestbook!  And thanks for viewing!

It's amazing exactly what will inspire an Etch-a-Sketch drawing...
Back in high school I would carry around an Etch-a-Sketch (you can still pay attention while drawing, right?!) with me to some of my classes.  This picture was taken off the back of a VeggieTales videotape in my Spanish Class!  Hola, Bob y Larry!
Sittin' around in the college dorm, I was looking for something to "etch."  Well, as any college student knows, you have to have something to nibble on.  My eyes caught a Nilla Wafers box, and 45 minutes later, I've got two boxes...so to speak...
Again, in high school, I figured I'd try to "etch" myself!  I mean, after all, I had spent 17 years with myself already, so why not celebrate with a picture, you know?  Here's what happened...
In the college dorm, I had the "Etch-a-Sketch" urge again.  I looked around and this time found a picture of Ol' Abe.  So a few turns later, I had the 16th president engraved on a grey screen.  I went back later and added his tomb and house.
A cereal box with a picture of Fred, and the rest is history.  After putting Fred in the middle, I went back and added Barnie and Wilma.
I was at a Christ in Youth conference in southern Illinois for this one.  This time, however, I used the Pocket Etch-a-Sketch.  So it's a lil' smaller, but go ahead and take a look...

I was coming back home from the National Missionary Convention in Kansas.  Of course, for the 10-hour road trip, I took along an Etch-a-Sketch (for when everyone else slept).  A Burger King ketchup packet inspired this one...
Heinz Ketchup Bottle
I looked off of a picture by Jean Keaton for this one.  It portrays Jesus and a young baby smiling at each other face to face...

Goin' back to the classics for this one! Here you will find Lucy, Charlie Brown, and Snoopy doin' what they do best  Once again, I completed this one at a Christ in Youth conference.
