| Shield of Arrav To start this quest you must have the following: A cooperative friend who hasn't done the quest yet. Start this quest by talking to Reldo in the Varrock Palace. He tells you to find a book about the Shield of Arrav in the Library (lazy bastard). Find the book and read it about the Shield of Arrav. Talk to Reldo and he tells you more about the Pheonix Gang and how to find them. Now here is the turning point in the quest; You must decide between two gangs to join. Here is how to join each one; NOTE: Your friend has to join the RIVAL of your gang, not the same one you are in. To join the Pheonix Gang, speak to the fur trader south of the palace. Give him 20 coins and he'll tell you all about the Pheonix Gang. Go to their hideout in south-west Varrock and speak to Straven. He hints to you that you should kill Johnny the Beard for his intelligence report. Get the intelligence report and give it to Straven. He gives you the weapon storage key and invites you into the gang. Go into one of the rooms and find a treasure chest containing one of the halves of the shield. To join the Black Arm Gang, speak to the Tramp near the south entrance to Varrock. He tells you about the Black Arm Gang and their location. Go down the alley way and find Katrina. Speak to her about joining and she gives you a task - obtain 2 Pheonix Crossbows. Either buy two of them from someone or get your friend to get two for you or give you his/her Weapon Storage key. The Weapon Storage place is behind the locked door a couple houses down from the Pheonix Gang's hideout. Use the key on the door and go up the ladder. Kill the man up there if he isnt dead and take two Pheonix Crossbows. Give them to Katrina and lets you in the gang. Go inside the door at the hideout and upstairs. Open and search the cupboard to find the other shield half. Get your friend to give you the other half, then take them to the Curator at the Varrock Museum. He gives you two certificates for getting the shield. Give one to your friend and set off to speak to King Roald in the Varrock Palace. He gives you the reward of 600 gp. End of the quest. |
