| Rune Mysteries To start this quest you must have the following: Nothing Start this quest by talking to Duke Horacio of Lumbridge Castle. He gives you an Air Talisman to take to the head wizard at the Wizard's Tower south of Draynor Village. Go to the basement of the Wizard's Tower and speak to the wizard about the talisman. He gives you a package to take to Aubrey in in the South-Western Varrock Rune Shop. Talk to Aubrey and he gives his research notes. Take the notes back to the head wizard and quest complete! Your reward is the ability to mine Rune Essence. NOTE: To find a Rune-crafting Temple, right click on your talisman and select "Locate Talisman". It should tell you what direction it pulls to (North, south, east, west, etc.) in your chat box. Follow the direction it tells you to go in until you find the ruins. Usually the ruins look like a bunch of pillars surrounding a circle. Use the talisman on the big circle (Mysterious Ruins) and you'll enter the temple. Once in, find the Rune-Crafting Altar and select "Craft at Altar". |
