Entertainment Values... Get your groove on.
It might seem that my taste in music is slightly schizophrenic. It is. My personal cd collection includes, but is not limited to Ministry, NIN, La Boheme (the Puccini opera), The Smiths, Massive Attack, Paul Simon, Billie Holiday, the English Beat, and Madonna. You name it, I'll listen to it - and yes, that does include disco. Can ya dig it? I knew thatcha could.......
These pictures are links to the repsective artists... they represent a mere sliver of the fatty chocolate cakeness that is my musical spectrum..... Now I shall endeavor to include more of my favorite artists for you to peruse and with which you can broaden your own personal musical horizons... if, by chance, you feel I have neglected an artist or band that deserves mention on this page... that's too bad. Start your own freakin page!
The Dave Matthews Band... they make you feel good. This page has tons of downloads, including the infamous "Lillywhite Sessions"
U2..... there are so many pages.. so little time.
The Smiths .... who didn't have teen angst?? Who embodies it more than the Moz??
Luscious Jackson... when they broke up I was devastated. I anxiously await some Jill Cunniff solo work.... I actually met them... all I could say was "you guys rock"... Wit, party of one?
Cake.. you know you like 'em......oh...so clever.....
The Smithereens.....underrated, not often heard of, so rockin....
And now are the Movies!
So, a good movie is the next best thing to a good cd. That's just my opinion.. but then, it's my page so that's the only opinion that carries any weight. Here are some titles that I really enjoy, and perhaps own. I like them, they are better than CATS, I would watch them again and again.
The House of Yes - This movie quite possibly tops my list of all time favorites. So zany, in a quietly fabulous kind of way. So quotable. So dark. So good. Parker Posey is a goddess. Tori Spelling actually gets near acting in this film, and is, *gulp*, almost even good.
Raising Arizona - Or really anything by the Cohen brothers. I mean, let's just be honest here. I'm going to include, under this Cohen umbrella, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?.
Waiting for Guffman, Best In Show, and Drop Dead Gorgeous - three hilarious movies that "document" phenomena of the most mind-twisting variety, community theatre, dog shows, and small town beauty pageants.

Dr. Zhivago, Casablanca, Cat on A Hot Tin Roof - I am secretly a hopeless romantic, and also a fan of Tennessee Williams.
When Harry met Sally, Moonstruck, Princess Bride, Indiana Jones I and III, The Jerk, Saturday Night Fever - all cinematic classics in my book and critically acclaimed by me..
